I received this product with many imperfections, holes not drilled, cracked and patched in multiple areas, items screwed on wrong sides. I requested to send back for a refund and was told there is a restocking fee, based on the condition of the product when they receive it. When I first got this I realized how small it was & intended to return it. When I found out I'd have to pay for return shipping we decided to keep it. We are very glad we did. I is very cute & the perfect size for my grand kids, ages 6 & 5. It is perfect for them, they can open the side hatches reach in to gather eggs. Our chicks are still in a brooding box & we have 15 of them. We will probably have to add on to this to make enough space. I would recommend for the kids. ... show more

This coop is tiny! There is no way it would hold the amount of chickens the description states. Maybe chicks. I would say between the two coops 4 chickens max. The photos definitely make you believe it is bigger than it really is. The wood is also very thin and flimsy.

The house falls apart. The nesting box has to be put back together everyday. The perch falls down and the bottom of the house comes off. I’ll have to alter it to make is more sturdy and usable.

I was so excited to get this. Nice cedar wood, however quality control does not exist at this company. They cut through a knot on both sides so it came apart in shipping. Contacted sellar and told about a week to get new part. However, 3 weeks later, they have not shipped part and my return window is closing so apparently I have to return it. So disappointed. Was getting some chickens from a friend and have also missed out on that opportunity. So it's cost a lot of money and time. They don't care. ADDED: is now been more than 1 month and they are still jerking me around in the replacement part. Customer service manage saidthey shipped out, but now they tell me they haven't. Factory is busy. Well so am i! I'm not paying a restocking fee for a defective product working with Amazon on return and getting full refund ... show more

This coop does not live up to its description. There is no way you could house 12 chickens in this coop. I am hesitant to try 6 hens. It was not difficult to assemble except for missing hardware and door latches too small and flimsy to be trusted.
