I bought these for my godsons to surprise them during a bon fire and they loved them. The colors are bright and don't let off a strong odor or anything. It says non toxic but you don't want a face full of the smoke that comes off right when you throw it in the fire. I gave my niece a pretty big coughing fit with the first one. I thought I would need 3 or so for the camp fire but just one packet did the trick for much longer than I thought it would. The park ranger did stop by our site one night because they saw the blue flames and thought we were burning treated wood. It was the perfect amount to stretch throughout the night. Now I see why they sell these in bigger packs because they work exactly how they’re supposed to, except they’re not as intense in color as you’d expect it to. I believe a lot of this has to do with the size of the packets themselves so I started throwing in 2 packets at a time. I’d throw in more but was trying to stretch it out for the duration of our bonfire.
