I purchased the Maldira Brand, Cast Iron Skillet for myself; I love this Skillet!! I love the size, and that it distributes heat evenly. I love the heat retention capability of this Skillet, too. I fried potatoes and sat the Skillet aside, while I finished the other dishes I was cooking, and I was surprised when the Skillet was still so hot. This is a 10” Cast Iron Skillet that’s 1.7” deep, with a 5” long handle; the capacity is 2-quarts. It’s Enameled; the interior is White, and the exterior is a gradient Peacock Blue. It’s very pretty! The Enamel Finish is smooth—to minimize sticking, and it resists staining. It’s versatile and can be used on an Electric Stovetop, Glass Stovetop, Gas Stovetop, Induction Stovetop, and in the Oven—up to 450°F (232°C). Although it can be washed in the dishwasher, handwashing is recommended, as dishwasher soaps are harsh & abrasive. This is most definitely giftworthy! I will be buying some of Maldira’s other matching pieces … their Skillet sold me! I’ve got my eyes set on their Lasagna Pan & Dutch Oven … Ooh, La-la!

We’ve always loved cooking with our traditional cast iron frying pan that originally belonged to my grandmother. Most modern cast iron just doesn’t compare in quality or performance, so I was a little hesitant to try an enameled version. I’m glad I did—this skillet exceeded my expectations. I waivered between a 4 and 5 star rating. The pan is great, but I don't know what the chip/imperfection will mean to the longevity of this pan. The box arrived a bit damaged, so I was worried at first, but the only issue was a tiny scratch on the handle that may have been there before shipping. The skillet itself is beautiful. The blue color is exactly as shown online and looks fantastic in our kitchen. I also really appreciate the thoughtful design features—the second handle and the pour spouts make it incredibly easy to maneuver and very versatile. We’ve cooked several meals in it so far (eggs, bacon, hash browns, chicken, taco meat, steaks), and everything cooked evenly and tasted just as good as when we use our older cast iron pan. The best part is that nothing stuck. Cleanup was a breeze, and thanks to the enamel coating, we could even use soap without worrying about damaging the surface. After multiple uses, the pan still looks brand new. Overall, this skillet has been a wonderful addition to our kitchen. Highly recommend!

This very affordable Maldira enameled cast iron skillet is an attractive addition to any kitchen. The cast iron is heavy duty, but not so much as to make the skillet heavy and hard to handle. The enamel is well applied both inside and outside of the skillet. The enamel coating on the inside provides a non-stick surface when coated with a small amount of oil or butter. The smooth enamel surface makes cleaning a breeze with just a bit of soapy water and a washcloth. Avoid using metal utensils and gritty cleaners that can scratch the enamel surface.
