I looked high and low for this style of barstool. These particular ones vary alot in pricing, but I kept looking for a few weeks and caught them at an amazing price, roughly $65 each! I bought three. Easy to assemble and they look AWESOME. With assembly, I'd read some previous reviews that said to reverse steps 1 and 2 to make it easier. I followed those instructions, along with leaving things loose until it lined up correctly. Made it easier. I've had them for a month or so, but they're in our new house and haven't been used much yet. Not sure how they'll hold up, but they're so pretty, stylish and comfortable. ... show more

Barstool was very easy to assemble if directions are followed properly. Color and comfort are just what I was picturing from the photos. I am pleased with the adjustable, leveling feet and the legs seem to be sturdy. I am hoping that the seat base will also be sturdy with repeated use - but cannot comment on that just yet. ... show more

The stool looks amazing, at least if you don't look too close. The finish on the legs appears to be painted on? Its mostly convincing unless you really look close. You can't expect the real thing at this price point, but it's something to note. The chrome metal loop for your feet is made of very heavy duty metal. I was pleasantly surprised at how much it weighed. I have no doubt that it can handle it's job for decades. The chrome finish is very nice. It doesn't feel cheap. The faux leather seat is made of thick material that should last a while, but it does have a slightly rubbery feel. It looks great though and is comfortable to sit on. The padding is adequate. Assembly was.... a challenge. I'm a handy guy. I usually dismiss reviews that mention things not lining up as user error. People tend to tighten things down before getting it all lined up. In the case of this stool however, no amount of loosening the screws was going to make things align. The problem is that the legs come down on an angle (duh), but the holes for the footrest are straight up and down. Which means you're trying to put an angled bolt into a decidedly NOT angled hole. The trick was to attach the footrest bolts *first* but leave them very loose. Like almost all the way loose. Only then should you attach the plate that holds the legs together. Expect to have to push the legs uncomfortably hard to get the holes aligned. Once all the bolts are started, you can tighten everything down. If you have wobbles, there are adjusters on the bottom of the legs that can be tightened or loosened to remove the wobble. From there, attaching the spinner plate and the seat are trivial. Just keep everything loose till you line it up. All in all, I think it's a great stool for the price. It looks like it costs 3 times as much and feels like it will last years. I'll update this review if the two I bought ever wear out or have problems. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. My 13-year-old assembled the chair, so, it’s easy enough to do. It was a little wobbly at first but we tweaked it, and it was fine. Comfortable to sit on and seemingly sturdy enough to last. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t tall enough for the height of our bar height counters. We realized we needed to go with an extra tall seat (32”-34”), which are offered on Amazon so we’re going to look for another option. The height of the seat of this barstool is 30 inches. All that being said, it’s a beautiful chair and swivels easily. I love the gray pu leather juxtaposed with the wood mid century style. I would definitely recommend it. ... show more

I was hoping this was it- the bar stools I was waiting for. Reviews say how comfortable it is... well.. It's alright. It is really pretty and goes well with my kitchen/bar set up. I got the walnut with gray. Buuut, the seat is a better fit for the kids than they are for the adults. Not because of the overall height- it's because of the size of the seat. There's a review stating the seat height is a bit lower/shorter than expected- very true. Not an awesome fit for my 42" high bar. When the kids sit, the bar is up to their chest which makes it hard for them to do their homework there.. or eat, or drink, or anything. The back goes up to just below the small of my back, so, there's no leaning back at all for the adults. For the kids, the top of the back lands just about half way up their back, so they can lean. The swivel feature is a weighted/pressure swivel. Which means that the swivel part only works if there's enough weight or pressure on it. My kids don't weigh enough for the swivel to work easily. The actual seat dimensions aren't mentioned at all in this description. The seat itself is not 20" wide. I would love it if it was, but that's the width of the legs, at their widest. The actual seat dimensions from the wooden seat are: 14.5" wide x 17" deep x 12.5" high from the base of the wooden bottom, to the top of the wooden back. Keep in mind that the padding is about 2" thick, so the real estate your butt and legs can take up is only about 15" (not 17"). This goes for the height of the back too- the padding is about 2" thick, so the back will only go up about 10.5" from where you sit (instead of 12.5"). Yes, the padding compresses and for that matter, so do some of our body bits, but realistically, for those of us where this matters, we all know the seat is too small to relax in the space for a long period of time. If you have shorter legs, this is not the chair for you. I have to hop up onto the chair as it is, then my toes (only with shoes on) can rest on the bar if I'm sitting forward a little... I'm 5'6". ... show more
