This was not my first choice. In fact, my first choice was supposed to be delivered next day if I ordered within 13 Hours and then 20 minutes later. It said it could come on a Tuesday and I was placing in my order on a wednesday. :( But it worked out better for me because I saved five dollars and found something to arrive next day. This little electric kettle is perfect. I am currently sick and sucking back tea, oat meal and soup. Which is why I wanted this as soon as possible. It heats up fast, takes up very little space and has a simple on switch which lights up blue. It's fairly quiet. The only flaw I could see is for somebody who has issues maybe with arthritis in their fingers that the flip top lid button might be hard to push. Worst case one could use their fist. I love that it doesn't have glass because I tend to be clumsy. This Has been a live saver. I've made half a dozen cups of tea today as well as oatmeal and soup. I also used the hot water to fill my hot water bottle twice. I would highly recommend this and I would buy it again it's perfect. ... show more

It's beautiful, it's handy, and almost perfect. The glass container is much nicer to use than the metal body ones. You can see the water heating up, bubbling. The colors also make it nice and easy to know what temperature the water is going to. When you touch the buttons or return the pitcher to the plate, it tells you what temperature the water is which is handy to know if you need to reheat it up or not. It has all the major temps for white, green, black tea, warm drinking water, and hot boiling for sanitation purposes water. The only issue I have is the really weak lid and poor lid design. Water can easily get trapped in the back area of the flip up lid and doesn't come out. The only way is to flip it upside down and shake it. The lid also isn't very strong and feels like it will stop working very quickly. I do hope it lasts but doesn't feel like it will stay up for very long. So far so good but I'm not confident in it. The glass would have been nice if it was double layered so you don't risk accidentally burning yourself touching the pot, but most water heaters do not have this. Was worth upgrading from my previous cheap $20 one to have multiple temperatures, just wish the lid was better and the glass was double layered. ... show more

My fried you do not want to hear at 6AM when preparing to make your tea or coffee. It is so loud...all my animals and neighbor animals would start to freak out. ... show more

My old and beloved electric kettle finally died, and my search told me this one had the features I wanted for the best price with great reviews. There are several key features setting this kettle above the rest: 1. Touch buttons: Mechanical and membrane buttons can break. Touch buttons last longest. 2. Selectable temperature (5 levels). 3. Accurate temperature display on handle. 4. LEDs at bottom of glass show status. 5. Beeper is loud enough. 6. The Stay-Warm feature is surprisingly useful. 7. The heater is fast. 8. Glass makes it easy to see scale accumulation. 9. The top opens far enough to get your hand in for cleaning. It's great, but not perfect. Here are some of the annoyances: 1. It's a cylinder (no taper toward the top), meaning water sloshes when pouring, making it tough to pour slowly and evenly, such as for pour-over coffee. Then again, if it had a taper the top would be smaller, and it would be harder to clean. 2. The 212F setting boils a bit too long before turning off. 3. Lower temperatures tend to run slightly low. 4. The beeps from the beeper are short enough to miss when noise is present. Yes, those annoyances truly are minor, but they could make a difference for some of you. For me, this is still a five-star product. I will update this review if that situation changes. ... show more
