Description

The household descaler solves hard water problems without the need for chemicals, salt or filter cartridges by leaving the minerals in the water. The device does not "remove" anything from water, but rearanges the molecular structure of the minerals in the water.Based on this, minirals will flow through the pipes without attaching to the plumbing system.Looking for an electronic water descaler to keep your pipes and appliances limescale-free? • Descaler Works
Style: 12V without shell
A few weeks after installing this, calcium deposits in the copper pipes started to descale. Faucet and shower heads had to be cleaned (soaking them in vinegar). Nice to know it really works.

  • Use it on the hot side if you have copper pipes
Style: 12V with shell
I want to share some important information I have learned after purchasing this product, which applies equally to all of the other electronic descalers. * If your house has plastic pipes, no problem, you can put it on the cold water line where water enters the house. * If the house has copper pipes, use it only on the HOT side of the system, and use the cold water for drinking and cooking. 90% of the scale forms on the hot water pipes; very little on the cold side. If you descale the already-clean cold water pipes, there is a possibility of leaching lead and copper into your drinking water (US houses with copper pipes that were built before ~1980 have lead in the connections between pipes). * If you put it on an iron pipe, it will not work. ... show more

  • Hardly to be fixed
Style: 12V with shell
The coin is difficult to install since the narrow gap between pipeline to wall. It's hard to connect wire with device. Need others to help. There is no enough parts to help fixed on pipes and wall. I hope it works well.

  • Working
Style: 9V without shell
I installed this small conditioner on pipe leaving my second and final water heater. I have a geothermal system that heats first WH that then feeds into the second one, which is hybrid WH. I had already installed a Scale latter SB-75 system on cold water pipe entering the house. Since I have two WH and a geo superdeheater pumping water through its system and into the first 30 gal. WH I opted to use this small conditioner on hot water pipe to provide better conditioning. It seems to do okay, but not sure if it is adding much conditioning, or it’s all from ScaleBladter. I have a Ionics water softener, but I bypassed it and shut it off. The results of the conditioned water vs softened water has been notable. Our most notable change has been the toilets. We no longer have a scum and or streaks build up in than we did before. I am pretty sure this is not because we I shut down the softener, but possibly could have. We have a large shower in our bathroom that has two sides with 6’ glass sides. We have not noticed any spotting since going with conditioned water. I have noticed the soap does not suds as much or skin as slippery as with the softener. But that is just fine with both of us. I installed this little system by locating it it about18” from where I wrapped the pipe. I put it into a PVC single gang electrical box. I drilled two holes in back of box and screwed to floor joist. I also drilled a hole in bottom to pass power cord through. I routed the two wires from pipe through knockouts in box where Romex would be passed through. Then I connected the two wires to terminals on circuit board and the power cord to the bottom and placed it into the PVC box. I ain’t pretty, but it works and didn’t cost me a penny (already had the box). Good cheap fix that I recommend you at least trying. If I hadn’t already had the bigger better ScaleBladter installed, I’d bought the dual circuit one though, didn’t feel I needed it in my case. ... show more

  • Installed June 16th 2020 - Time will tell
Style: 12V without shell
I first saw a unit at the C wholesale warehouse that ran for about $350 so I began researching... After some research I found other units that claimed to use the same tech and were built with fancy coverings and pricey connectors... I found this one with 2 circuits for under $35. I added a couple of other items so I could install outdoors on the main water line coming from the ground - the meter is about 30 feet away or so at the street - underground. I tightly wrapped the pipes making sure to use the same direction on both coils -but not so tight as to damage the wires (they are kinda cheap aluminum wires...may require replacement with copper wire later). I purchased the following items separately for outdoor installation: Creative-Idea 30pcs Waterproof IP68 Nylon Cable Gland Wire Protector M8 M10 M12 M16 M18 M20 Mixed Kit Black Zulkit Junction Box ABS Plastic Dustproof Waterproof IP65 Electrical Boxes Hinged Shell Outdoor Universal Project Enclosure Grey Clear/Transparent Cover With Lock 5.9 x 3.9 x 2.8 inch (150x100x70 mm) I drilled / bored holes in the junction box, used a few other junction box covers and components (had to MacGyver it a bit to secure in the box) and secured it in the box - connected to a 12V 1.5a 50/60Hz power supply (the one they provided was 2a but the cord was too short!!) I've read that you can power with a 9V adapter but I did not test ... As you can see in the photos, there is power! The LEDs are not removable as stated in some of the description somewhere but oh well! All in all I spent $35 for the unit, $10 for the wire glands, $16 for the junction box (plus tax) and about 2 hours of my time plus some other hardware I had around the garage. 25% of the cost of some of the name brand units! I will post an update in a few months once I have had a chance to see some results of the unit... (June 16th 2020) Dec 8, 2020 - noticed easier removal of grey dust on the stainless steel parts and it doesn't seem to 'crust' as hard (less binding) seems to be doing what is advertised! ... show more
