  • Refreshingly Pure: A Stylish Clean Hydration with Pur Faucet Water Filter
Color: Chrome
Pros: Pure Refreshment: Pur's filter delivers a crisp taste, effectively removing impurities. Easy Setup: Installation is a breeze Design: Despite a bit of bulk (barely an inconvenience), the filter's stylish design enhances faucet aesthetics. Leak-Free: No issues with leaks Considerations: Bulkiness: The filter is a tad bulkier, a minor point to consider for those with limited sink space. Plastic Flip Nozzle: While functional, the plastic flip nozzle could be sturdier. Final Thoughts: Pur Faucet Water Filter combines crisp filtration with a sleek design. Despite minor considerations, it remains a reliable choice, especially for those prioritizing aesthetics alongside filtration functionality. ... show more

  • Not lasting… yellow light less than a month
Color: Gray
It has been less than a month since we installed it, we only use it for drinking water, not for dishwashing or other uses. In less than a month it’s gone from green light status to yellow light status. I’m giving at four stars because as far as I know it’s doing its job, but it isn’t listed as long as expected. ... show more

  • Cheap, Easy Solution for Clean Water
Color: Gray
This is probably the easiest to install of all the water filters that you can buy on Amazon for your sink. It includes a variety of adapters to fit any variation of faucet head you may have. After a few months, I can say that I do definitely taste a difference in the water compared to before. The best way for me to describe it is that it tastes lighter, maybe less flavorful? I usually drink tap water and liked the taste of my local water (Massachusetts). I know this filter is doing something because I get less of that unique taste when drinking the filtered water. The original filter is still going strong, there's a handy green light that flashes whenever using the filter to let you know the state and whether or not you need to replace the filter. The only cons I can think of is that it's easy to knock the switch if you're working around then faucet head, such as when you're doing dishes or cleaning something out in your sink. That's usually not an issue but sometimes I'm using really hot water when I knock the switch by accident and the manual states to never let hot water run through the filter. The cost of replacement filters are another con but I'll see how long one lasts for me before ordering more or deciding on a more robust solution (looking at reverse osmosis). I wanted chrome but it was not in stock when I ordered so I got the Metallic Grey and it doesn't look too bad. I actually think it's probably easier to keep clean compared to the chrome due to the water spots being less noticeable. Overall, I'm pretty happy with my purchase and recommend this product. It is a cheap, effective way to start drinking cleaner water with a dead simple installation process. I think I will eventually invest in an under the sink system just because I want to replace filters less often and so that ALL of the water I use is filtered. But in the meantime, this is a great solution. UPDATE 10/26/2023 So a little over two months of use, and the plate at the front with the "PUR" logo has fallen off, revealing the white body of the filter. I don't really want to glue the plate back on because I don't want there to be glue where the filtered water is coming out. I'm pretty annoyed and it looks very ugly now. Guess I have to find another solution. ... show more

  • Tasty difference
Color: Gray
I waited a day or two before putting it on with ease. The taste of the water is crisp . Any time I can drink the water room temperature and don’t get an after taste or bad taste, that’s good water and the filter is doing the job. Great purchase so far

  • Great product
Color: Gray
We have been using these for years. Every product regardless of type eventually needs to be replaced. Last one lasted 5 years. A victim of calcification from the water source. You should remove it once a year to clean the water entry screen. A quick rinse gets rust and gravel from the pipe cleaned off. I trust it. ... show more

  • Works until it leaks, and it will leak.
Color: Chrome
***UPDATE 8/22/23*** I’ve rethought my assessment of this and upgraded my rating to four stars from two. I’m still disappointed that the housing starts leaking every year or so and needs to be replaced, but even with this inconvenience and added cost the filters themselves are very good (and that’s the really important part) and overall offer good performance and value for all the “Pur” water you get. And despite its faults this is still worlds better than using a pitcher with a filter. ***UPDATE 12/5/20*** Now, not surprisingly, my last Pur Faucet Filter housing has started leaking after only about six months. As I mentioned previously, I’m trying a new faucet-mount system from ESOW that uses a metal housing and seems to have a comparable filter to the Pur filter. I will report back in six months or so with feedback on how that filter system is working in case other Pur customers are tired of leaking filters and are looking for a viable replacement. I would caution that a lot of other filter systems out there do not meaningfully filter out heavy metals (like lead) so read carefully when choosing another water filter. In any event, I’m happy to no longer be buying and supporting a product that is obviously purposely under built and designed to fail after a short period to increase sales. Shame on you Pur! ***UPDATE 7/21/20*** The last one of these I bought lasted lasted 6 months before it started leaking, and as I find this to be ridiculous and completely unacceptable I’m lowering my rating to one star and Pur is losing my business. Despite the great value the Pur filters represent for providing filtered water, their faucet mounts are a joke. Pur can’t seem to figure out how to make a simple delivery system that doesn’t leak, and this stupidity has been going on for many, many years so there’s just no excuse for this. This is not rocket science. It’s gotten frustrating enough that I’m now going to look for an alternative, and if I have to pay a little more for filters to not have to continually buy these shoddy faucet mounts I’m now ok with that. Right now I feel like an idiot constantly giving Pur more money for a product that I know will fail in six months or so. It’s sad really, because this seems so unnecessary. I don’t know who the product manager is who produces these things, but whoever they are they’re completely incompetent and are responsible for Pur now losing my business after more than 10 years of being a loyal customer. Nice job moron! When I find a better alternative I will certainly update here with that product so others have the opportunity to exit this absurd merry-go-round as well. ================================================================ I've been buying Pur water filters for many years now, so I've been through several iterations of their faucet-mount filters. Although they've refined and largely improved the design over the years, the one issue they haven't been able overcome is that the filter housings inevitably start to leak at some point and need to be replaced. In my experience, and under heavy daily use with our family of four, I get anywhere from one to three years out of it before it begins to leak. While it is somewhat annoying, and I wish they'd finally just come out with a metal version that lasts, given the low overall cost of the filtered water we get out of these I really can't complain too much. When I buy replacement filters in bulk here on Amazon, it costs us about $3 per month for all the filtered water we need for drinking, cooking, etc. What other products that are good in your life only cost $3 per month? So even adding in the cost of occasionally replacing the filter housing it's still a very economical source of filtered water, especially when I compare it to what I know my neighbors pay to have big jugs of water constantly delivered to their house. And seriously, who wants to deal with all those big and insanely heavy (and expensive) jugs? Anyway, despite the obvious flaw, overall I'm very happy with the quality of our Pur filtered water and the low cost of having peace of mind that my family is not ingesting harmful chemicals, heavy metals, etc. So I'll happily keep using my admittedly less-than-perfect Pur filter and would still highly recommend them to people interested in adding filtered water into their lives. ... show more
