**Edit** I have been using this, as I said, from the 29th of November and am just now needing to regenerate it. Granted, it is only me in my trailer, but I use a normal amount of water, even doing wash in a portable machine, so about 12 gallons every couple of weeks, along with showers and dishes, and the toilet. I think that’s an excellent amount of soft water for that long of a period, nearly three months! I am even more impressed now. *** This is working well. I have had it hooked up to my travel trailer system since the 29th of November and am still getting soft, soft water. On the hardness scale, it is still down at the lowest, nearly green, which is the least hard water. I did have another brand before this but that one leaked after a couple of years of use. So far this one is perfect, was easy to install and has no leaks at all. I don’t mind drinking the soft water and really don’t have a choice since there is only one input. (I don’t buy water) I honestly don’t think it’s bad tasting at all, in fact it’s better tasting than the soft water at home. I did hook two different filter systems up between this and the source since the water where I winter is horribly sandy and very, very hard. The filters help keep this running free and clear. I use much less detergent when doing clothes and less shampoo too. My skin looks better and hair is great with the softened water. I haven’t yet had to regenerate, so if anything changes I will update my review. I’m very happy with this purchase! ... show more

We are in Florida for the winter living in a 5th wheel trailer. I saw many people using these water softeners. Thought I would try since the price was right. We have one in our home. Was really surprised at how well it works. How simple to hook up. Totally recommend

    • Resin cannot be rejuvenated. Company offered refund when I asked for refund.
Worked very very well initially but when the resin got saturated with hardness and the hardness subsequently rose to unacceptable levels it was impossible to rejuvenate. Initially I received no response when I attempted to contact company through Amazon but a very quick response when I accessed their toll free number. They offered to ship a new unit but I asked for a refund as we are in a RV and about to depart. This they agreed to do. When communicating use the toll free number and write and text them and they will promptly respond. Their service is outstanding hence the 4 stars. ... show more

Writing this after a week of operation. Pros: Comes well packed with all hardware needed for different applications. I ran mine off the water regulator with the single shut off valve at the inlet side of the unit. Short hose to rv inlet and used included quick connect attachments. Directions are complete and easy to follow. Had soft water within the hour. So far very pleased with this and is much cheaper than competition. Only con is it doesn't come with test strips. After first regeneration, the quick links leaked. Seller was excellent in their response and replaced them. Great customer service. ... show more

We are on a well in an area that has quite hard water. I had gotten a water ionizer. I was running into issues despite having filters that I was getting scale and build up and stuff in the water. I was able to quite easily hook up and adapt this portable water softener under the kitchen sink for the ionizer. It made a very noticeable difference. It even still works well being fed from the quarter-inch tubing for the filters and ionizer. It was a simple adapter fitting to allow it to work with the quarter-inch tubing. ... show more
