We had very chlorine tasting and smelling water from our tap. We used a fridge filter for drinking water and a Britta pitcher for the coffee pot. We got tired of the expensive filters so started looking for options. We are retired and on a fixed income so we didn't want to spend the money on a whole house system. Our plumber recommended a different brand under the sink filter. It was very expensive and the replacement filters were $100 each! With some research we picked this one. We did have our plumber install it for us. He said while installing that it was a very nice unit! He split it so the water goes to our fridge for drinking water and ice and also to our cold side of our sink water. I was floored that all of the chlorine smell was gone! We just turn the handle to cold for filtered water and hot or warm to rinse dishes etc. We love it! It says two years filter replacement but Even if we have to replace the filter once a year we would still be happy! ... show more

I got sick of paying $35+ for filters for my fridge icemaker, only to have them rapidly stop working. Decided to circumvent the fridge filter altogether, by installing this filter. It filters the tap AND the fridge water supply. It was super easy to install, taking about 30 mins. Just read the instructions carefully, and you shouldn't have a problem. Once mounted, the hoses stay put, and the cartridge comes off with a quarter turn, for easy replacement (turn water off during removal!). There were two little plastic clips that attach to the hose inlets to prevent accidental disconnects ( although there shouldn't be any reason to pull on the hoses, accidents- and children- do happen), and they weren't in my kit. I called the assistance line listed in the instructions, and the guy there was super helpful and they are sending an entirely new head plus the clips. I've bee using the filter for two days and no leaks, so happy for that. ... show more

Since moving to NC, my family all gained an outrageous amount of weight without a change in diet. A 20-year-old undersink filter exploded due to a crack. That model is no longer available, which is lucky, since I might have made the mistake of doing an exact replacement. Instead, I got this as a replacement. I wish I had installed it long ago. Filter replacement is so much simpler than the old one. We have a filtered water spigot beside our sink, and I installed this filter feeding that spigot. However, the Waterdrop is designed to filter all the cold water from the regular tap. It would have been so much better to have used this filter right from the start, but I didn't know about it those 20 years ago... ... show more

Installed in 30 minutes, easy, peasey, fittings connected, perfect, for cold water, taste & Smell is great, NO CHLORINE,, The ONLY thing is it did restrict water,flow, just a little, BUT THe Water flow @ my home, isn't that good anyway, SO NOT THERE FAULT, Would differently, Recommend, this is day 1, so I will kept you all posted, if issues arise, Plus filter replacement, cost, is excellent!! My water is so awful the dog won't even drink it and she eats 💩! Paid a plumber to do this as I have no experience in installing and he said there was a nut that was awful putting on and barely fit. He said other than that it was an easy install. Water tasted great and now I don't have to drag all these bottles back and forth from the store in the cold!
