I've never really wanted an electric kettle until my friend came for a visit and brought hers with her. The ease and speed at which it boils water really hooks you. However, most of them are big and clunky which has always been a deterrent for me. I looked at several in the price range I could afford (not much) and I was taken by the gorgeous shape and design of this kettle. I also loved the fact that it is double-walled and 100% stainless steel which is healthier than straight plastic. I was floored when I saw how inexpensive it was. I bought it because of the design and was half-expecting something to be a bit off about it because of the price but I was totally wrong. Its features and performance are as beautiful as its design. Base feels very cheap and wobbly not sturdy but the water heats up very fast and the kettle isn’t noisy and is all steel inside 👍🏼. Good price too. But you can’t see how much you’re putting inside no measurements .

Pros: 1. 6 minutes 19 seconds to boil 1.7L makes this one the fastest kettles on the market 2. The interior metal unit is one seemless 304 steel sheet so there's no soldering health risk concerns 3. The double walled safety is great and keeps water warm longer Cons: 1. The water fill line is only from the right interior making it hard to see when coming in from the wrong side 2. The Aylion electric kettle is an elegant looking product with 1.7l capacity (enough for 4 mugs of tea) and heats the water quickly. The best part is that the double-walled construction keeps the outsides and the lid cool to touch so there is no risk of skalding yourself by inadvertently touching the kettle. I will like to take out only 1/2 a star (but since there is no option of that, I'm taking out 1 star) for it having no water level window ...... that would have been a nice feature to have. ... show more

Was skeptical at first because how do you trust half of these new brands showing their faces on Amazon these days. I chose this one for a combination of price and not having any plastic parts that the water or steam comes into contact with. To my surprise it's quite well built and works very well - it boils the water quickly and the automatic shutoff works as advertised. Literally my only complaint - and why I'm knocking off a star - is that the button to open the lid doesn't open the lid to its maximum extent. There's still a little more you can open it if you pull it by hand. And indeed you'd want it to open to full extent to pour water into it from a filter jug. If the lid is already hot and you're adding extra water, you might forget and burn yourself. If they fixed the lid opening button so that it opens the lid all the way instead of 80% there, I'd rate this as 5 star perfect. ... show more
