I set the temperature to 99.4°F (setting +/- increment of 0.5°F steps), and within about 12 minutes, it was fully preheated with water inside. At first, the temp fluctuated a bit (my room was a chilly 60°F), but the manual had the perfect solution: use the included foam box for insulation. I’m so glad I didn’t throw it away—once I placed the unit in the foam, the temperature locked in beautifully at 99.3°F and stayed there! The built-in alarm is a lifesaver. If the temperature goes out of range, it beeps to alert you right away—huge peace of mind. And let’s talk features—this thing is loaded! It can hold up to 36 eggs (yes, 36!) and includes a built-in egg tester for candling—just press a button and shine the light through the egg to check progress. So cool! I have mixed feelings about this incubator. Pros: • Holds temperature very well • Great shape and layout for lockdown and hatching • Works well as a dedicated hatcher Cons: • Humidity is extremely inconsistent during the first 18 days • Humidity alarm goes off constantly • Alarm sounds throughout the night, even after levels are checked and adjusted • Difficult to keep humidity stable, which negatively impacts hatch rates The temperature control performs reliably and stays consistent. However, the humidity fluctuates significantly during incubation, and I have not found a dependable way to stabilize it. The constant humidity alarm is disruptive and goes off frequently, including overnight. Because of the instability during the first 18 days, I will not be using this unit as a full-time incubator. That said, I do like the design and find it works well for lockdown and the actual hatching phase. Overall: Reliable for temperature and useful as a hatcher, but not dependable for the full 21-day incubation cycle due to humidity control issues.

I really like this incubator. I wrote a critical review because I couldn't adjust the temperature and humidity but after watching a video I realized you have to press the control button release then press the plus or minus to adjust. I'm still struggling with the humidity control but I'm sure there is a simple answer for that as well. terrific incubator for a great price.

I really wanted this incubator to work, but unfortunately I had issues with humidity control. It would not consistently hold humidity, no matter how closely I monitored and adjusted it. I added water as directed and kept a close eye on levels, but it kept dropping and fluctuating. Because of that, I had to move my eggs to a different incubator at day 18 (lockdown), which is not ideal and adds unnecessary risk. Temperature seemed fairly stable, but the humidity inconsistency was a big concern during such a critical stage. If humidity control is important to you for hatching success, I would recommend having a backup plan or a secondary hygrometer to monitor it closely.

I’m beyond impressed with this egg incubator! From start to finish, it made the hatching process smooth and successful. Very inaccurate temperature! Tem. (103F) and humidity gets well too high after adding water to the day1-7 water reservoir (80%). Although there are some features this incubator I really like, but the tem and humidity control is a major draw back of this product. Also even though the manual says you can set hatching days and turning times, but the actual product doesn't. You can only adjust tem setting. I am returning this incubator and I really hope they will improve the design in the future. The following is the details of the pros and cons I have observed to give other people an idea wether if this incubator works for you or not before making the purchase. Pros: - Nice hinge opening and clear views on the top (love this feature) - auto-turning works great Cons: - inaccurate temperature and alarm doesn't work after tem went to 103F - Hard to control humidity - There are no ventilation control - Hard to clean & unable to wash the incubator after hatching is finished without damage the product. - Even though the manual and the description of the product gives you an idea of adjustable hatching days and turning times, the actual product doesn't offer these functions. the only adjustable setting is temperature.
