I bought the EFCUT C30 Lite to replace a chipper from another brand that stopped working. You can see the difference in the outcome after chipping with the EFCUT and the other chipper. See the photo and it is clear that the other brand (middle pile) just could not match the quality of this EFCUT. The chips the EFCUT produced are not only great for using as chips for ground cover. weed control, and protecting plants, but the finer, smaller chips it produces will surely break down into the soil much quicker to deliver nutrients. I watched the videos on YouTube and did a bunch of research before purchasing the EFCUT. It was clearly a better product. I agree with many others in their reviews. The EFCUT C30 is a beast! I was so impressed at how it started up right away with one pull and handled everything that I could throw at it from a large area I am clearing. It easily chipped up 3" branches. If it bogged down a bit on the larger branches, I would just back off the branch and then return it again and the chipper would eat it up. I took advantage of the Amazon Black Friday deal so I also saved a bunch of money. I am so pleased with this machine and would highly recommend it. Assembly was very easy and took me about 1/2 hour. Other reviewers noted that there was extra blades that were included when they bought theirs. Perhaps the company discontinued that extra add-on because I did not receive extra blades. Again, truly amazing product!

I would highly recommend this wood chipper, I've seen reviews where people say the blades don't cut after a while but all you need to do is twist the wood while putting the tree branches. I took a chance on this machine and I am happy with my purchase!!

I saw this particular chipper on YouTube and it looked like it would be capable of chipping large branches. I had considered an electric chipper, but it didn't look like it did any branches over an inch in diameter. The video showed this chipper doing a 3" diameter branch. I have a number of trees and bushes that need maintenance. The EFCUT was easy to put together and started up easily. It easily did small branches and made a good size mulch. More importantly it did branches up to 3 inches as long as you gave it a chance to work. I am very pleased with this chipper. However, there is one thing that I am not happy with. The blade are accessible through some removable panels. Tools like this work better if the blades are kept sharp. I am a wood worker and know how to sharpen tools and know how much better they work when sharp. When I tried to remove the blades to sharpen them, they would not come off. Your are supposed to be able to get them off with an allen wrench on one side and a regular wrench on the other. The nuts holding them in place would not move. That is why the chipper did not get 5 stars

This chipper replaces a 10-year old chipper that finally died in peace. Assembly of this thing is easy. Despite a label saying that there is no engine oil inside there actually was and no need to add more. OK, no problem. Engine started on the first try and I was impressed. This thing would just gobble up branches and sticks and spit them out in little pieces. Great... well... not so fast. After feeding this thing for about 15 minutes I noticed that it significantly slowed down. The slow down also caused the chips that are spit out to get smaller and smaller until it is more like coarse sawdust. Time to take a look at the blades. Opened the access panel and found the blades to be as dull as they possible could get with significant damage along the tip. This should not happen after only testing this chipper with a few branches that were well within specification. Attempted to replace the blades, but was unable to remove all the nuts from the bolts. Apparently they are all over-torgued. Was able to eventually remove one of the three bolts but the other two simply want budge. Actually stripped one nut and the third was about to strip also. Crazy You may not have that problem, but I suggest you get yourself high quality cutting blades because the ones that come with the chipper are garbage. Update 08.25.2022: don't plan on contacting the company, you will get no response to phone calls or e-mail.

Nice design, heavy duty sheet metal construction, easy assembly, engine started on the first pull, plenty of power, ran like a charm. It'll do 3" logs, but it's really for the 2" or less. It eats 1"-2" stuff no problem. For the garden mulch and fall cleanup I'm going to use it for...it's perfect. Big enough to handle my needs, small enough to move and transport easily. One thing...the mfg's. call for 15W-40 motor oil, but that is very hard to find. Several auto parts stores said they stopped carrying it years ago. I finally found it, last bottle at an Auto Zone. The mfg. gave it to me; he said it has been on the shelf forever and he wants to get rid of it.

This might be lengthy so bear with me. This arrived very fast, item was packaged well with no damage. It was fairly easy to assemble but I could have used some help when putting the axle/wheels on. There is a video on one of the reviews here that shows a nut not being able to fit onto a bolt due to the side of the hopper chute being too close. In this area, and a few others, you have to assess the correct way to put the nuts and bolts on but they will ALL go on and all fit so don't get stressed out. For the issue with the top right corner of where the hopper attaches to the body of the machine you will want to do that corner first. You keep the hopper a bit loose so that when you get to that top right bolt you lean the hopper out away from the body and the nut has room to go on. Then just tighten as you lean the hopper into the body where you can then tighten it all the way down. You may also notice where the top part of the hopper that has the rubber flaps attaches to the lower piece (the one we just talked about above) that the bolts have to face different ways. The bolts on both sides and the underside can all be put on with the top of the bolt facing you, however, the two bolts on top will have to go the opposite way in order to fit the angles of the pieces. Onto the motor, it seemed to take a lot more oil to fill than I expected but not a problem at all. Gas seems to last a decent amount of time. I like that it isn't a 2 stroke. Best of all this thing started up the very first pull. I'm pretty sure it has continued to start on the first pull every single time and it only "bogged down" and cut off once. As far as the location of the pull string, I think it's fine. I wear gloves and place my left hand on the gas tank and pull with my right. It's so easy to start I can't see how this is an issue for anyone but hey we are all different. I have used it for maybe 6-7 hours so far and I'll say that for the price I paid and the 3 year protection plan I was able to add for less than 20 bucks a year I am happy enough. Once I get past this initial clean up of my wooded area it will only be used a few hours a year, if that, for maintenance. On to the chipping power...so I don't like that you can't toss in twigs and smaller sticks and let it do it's thing. It really doesn't work too well on small things at all. It doesn't really pull, if you get what I mean. I have to push almost everything into it until I get the next thing going in that finishes pushing the previous branch through. I end up reaching halfway into the hopper all the time to keep moving things and pushing them. Since it doesn't really pull I don't think this is too dangerous, though I would say you need to be cautious and protect yourself. It seems to do it's best with branches around 1-2" that don't have many twiggy ends. Length doesn't matter, I put 10'+ branches in. Just keep pushing it. Bigger stuff it doesn't like as much and I ended up tossing a lot of things to the side for a burn pile once it got down to 1-2' long. It wasn't worth wasting my time trying to push a 2" branch through for the final foot or two. If it PULLED like I thought it would this wouldn't be an issue... Twigs or even the twiggy ends of the larger branches are an issue. The main reason I wanted this was for that twiggy junk at the end of the thicker branches. The thicker stuff can be cut and stacked for burning later but the twiggy stuff makes massive piles due to how...well, you know how it is. Small branches and twigs going every which way don't stack neatly. So that's about it. Only because I was able to get the 3 year warranty was I willing to give this unit a try and it's probably the only reason I will keep it. I really wanted something that would pull the twigs and branches. I keep ending up with a tangled mass of twigs that I either have to really work at pushing through with a stick or I just pull it out and toss it aside. Just take note, you will be doing a lot of manual labor with this machine. It's not just placing a branch in and allowing it to work. You'll also have to be sure to really prep your branch pile. If the Y of a branch is too wide or won't bend easily it will end up being too wide to go through opening for the blades. I didn't expect to have to prep the branches as much but now I know for the future. Beware the vibration as well. It's not with every branch but if you're holding onto a branch feeding it in or a shorter thicker branch is just bouncing around and needs pushed farther it and it's vibrating, it can really hurt. Oh, and the rubber flaps are annoying as heck. I know they are there for safety but they are in the way. You can't see into the machine to see if the end of the branch you're feeding in is caught on the stupid little lip below the chipper opening or if it's facing away from the sweet spot for the blades to get to it. That's about it. If a neighbor asked if I would recommend it I would tell them the above and say that if they are willing to deal with the learning curve and some shortcomings it has AND they can get the extended warranty to go for it. I would guess that almost all of these machines work about the same. Though some have a second hopper on top that allows you to drop the twigs and small stuff in which uses gravity to help it get into the blades, I wish this had that :(

I have used this chipper for 15 months. It works as advertised but a few things to keep in mind. I would say this chipper is fine for a half acre lot with trees. Be sure to cut down your fallen limbs. The product says you can go up to 3" in diameter and you can if you are patient, but DON'T DO IT! Why? Because you will wear out the knives super fast--as in, you will be changing the blades twice a year. If you get this one, stay at about 1 and 1/2" and smaller to get a good 1 and 1/2 years out of the blades. Changing the blades is a pain in the ass and be careful NOT to strip the hex screw side. Just hold the screws with the hex side as it says in the manual, and use a 13mm wrench on the bolt side. Even when you do it right you will will struggle to break those screws loose after the factory torque put on them. Have extra screws and an extra set of blades/knives so you can swap and go. Have the old ones sharpened only once (the steel is thin so you can only get one good sharpening out of them). I give a great score because this is the smallest unit they have and it works great for only having two knives on it. I also had to replace the carburetor already as well, but I blame myself for not running all the gas out of it last winter. Once the carb gets clogged, don't even try to clean it out. I spent hours trying to and wasted my time. I bought a new carb for 30 bucks and it worked like a charm.
