We decided to try silk filament and see if we liked it. We got two rolls to start. One of the rolls was perfect and performed beautifully. The end product was stunning. The other roll was stringing badly and no matter what adjustments we made, it would continue to string between the 5th and 10th layer. It was past the return period, so I reached out to the company. Nice color combination, give a nice effect when printed as it blends the color in a rainbow silky appearance that changes as it rotates. It prints very easily with great adhesion. I printed a vase at nozzle 210c plate 60 open printer. I liked this filament so well I already ordered a second roll.

It is very pretty, no doubt about that. I have been 3d printing for about 7 years now on the Ender 3, and never in that time have I had problems with my printer….. Until I started using this filament. My prints are uneven and rough and the amount of clogs I have has been astronomical (never one time had a clogged nozzle before this). All of that to say, I would probably spend the extra $5 and get a better quality PLA. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The color is impressive. It’s not very strong, with most of the prints I made being very fragile but it’s great for non functional prints like models. That’s just PLA though, nothing against the product. The prints came out very smooth, and the filament came out of the package with very little humidity though I still put it in a dehumidifier overnight before printing.
