Description

Edward Tools Black Metal Dustpan 12” is the most heavy duty metal dust pan on the market. The premium powder coated steel will not chip or bend like other dust pans on the market. The looped handle is more comfortable and allows the dust pan to be hung up when not in use. This industrial dust pan’s edge is thin enough to sweep small items but thick enough to not bend. A ridge just inside the edge allows the swept items to stay inside while work. Edward Tools Black Metal Dust Pan 12” is the perfect size for a standard broom and comes with a lifetime warranty!

  • Obnoxious sticker ruins otherwise decent product
Package Quantity: 1
Seems like a pretty well made dust pan. There are some small snaggy bits on the bottom that are nearly sharp enough to nick a hand/finger, but I suppose I can file them down - exposing the metal and hastening its march toward rusting. But that sticker. Come on! I started peeling it from one corner and noticed it was not coming off right immediately so I heated it thoroughly (both sides, until noticeably warm) with a hair dryer - but it didn't help. Now I have the mess shown in the photo that I'll need to deal with so it doesn't adhere to what I brush into it. Why does the sticker need to be there AT ALL? It's not shown to be there on the product page. Even the bottom would have been a better place - heck it would have smoothed over those snaggy bits! Edit to add easy sticker removal information: 1. Started with good old fashioned soap and water - all it did was remove the paper of the sticker leaving the adhesive. 2. Tried hand sanitizer, heck it was right next to the soap after all, hoping it would break down the adhesive - it did absolutely nothing. 3. Grabbed the wife's nail polish remover, yanno, acetone. All that did was make it angrier and stickier. YIKES! 4. Remembered that I had used WD-40 to remove tree sap from my car's paint, so pulled out a can of that, sprayed it on the uber-angry-sticky adhesive, then grabbed an old blue dish scrubby, you know the ones you throw under the sink after they become too stinky to use on dishes but you save just in case you have a utilitarian need for one later, and dishwashing soap and started rubbing in the soap on top of the WD-40. WHOA! UREKA! This actually worked! You're welcome. ... show more

  • Great size

I do a lot of woodworking projects in my garage. Even with my vacuum connected to my tools, I produce a lot of wood chips and saw dust. When cleaning up I can sweep up some pretty large piles. This dust pan is a great size to scoop up a lot of material. It’s also very sturdy. I’ve dropped it a couple times on my garage floor and it scraped a little paint off but that was it. If you need to clean up a lot of material then this dustpan is a great size and great option. I’m pleased I purchased it. ... show more

  • Yes! StickerBeGone! Piece'o cake
Package Quantity: 1
Love this pan! It has a straight, very straight edge, and that edge is heavy duty. I absolutely hate using dustpans. They always leave a little line of sand, crumbs, and scrumbly little nasty things that is almost if not completely impossible to remove using a brush and dustpan. And then that necessitates running back for a damp cloth and trying to get it all. It makes sweeping a real pain. But this pan has a nice straight edge and you can sweep up the whole crud line. Plus the pan really is lightweight. The handle is constructed in such a way that it makes it extremely easy to hang up. That's likely to help keep the edge straight. Although this Edge looks thick enough and sturdy enough that I have a hard time imagining it bending. And oh yeah, that sticker? It's an ugly little son of a gun. I tried peeling it off using my fingernails but it was adhered too tightly. So I put a blow dryer on high heat and warmed up the back of the pan behind the sticker that is on the front it worked like a charm, except for the one place that I held the hair dryer still for too long. That spot left a thin film of gummy goo. But one person said the adhesive could be removed using rubbing alcohol. So I sprayed rubbing alcohol on the sticker residue. All of a sudden instead of this sandpapery like film that was sticky, all the goo rolled up into a little ball and was very easy to remove. ... show more
