I've used quite a few ECOVACS robots, and the T80 Omni has become one of my favorites. I have three cats and a mix of hardwood and carpet, so these robots get a real workout in my house with cat hair, litter, dust, and everything else that ends up on the floor. Cleaning performance has been excellent. It has plenty of suction for my carpet and does a great job picking up cat hair from both carpet and hardwood. Hair pickup in particular has impressed me. There is still some routine brush cleaning needed when you have three cats, but I haven't had to constantly remove wrapped hair like I have with some older robots. The roller mop is one of the biggest reasons I like the T80. It actually feels like it is washing the floor rather than dragging damp pads across it. It does a very good job with paw prints and everyday dirt, and it reaches close to walls and cabinets. Mapping has also been accurate. It identified my rooms correctly and follows an organized cleaning pattern without leaving random areas untouched. Once the map was created, setting up individual rooms, cleaning sequences, and schedules in the ECOVACS app was straightforward. Another big positive is that it rarely gets stuck. It navigates around furniture and other obstacles well and transitions between my hardwood and carpet without needing help. I can start a cleaning and generally trust that it will finish and return to the station on its own. Connectivity has been reliable too. Setup with the ECOVACS app was easy, the robot stays connected to WiFi, and commands from the app respond quickly. I haven't experienced the annoying situation where a robot randomly shows offline even though everything else on the network is working. Durability has been good with regular use. The robot and OMNI station both feel solid, and the wheels, brushes, mop system, and other moving parts have held up well so far. I still do regular maintenance, especially because of the amount of pet hair in my house, but nothing has given me concerns about the build quality. The combination of excellent hair pickup, accurate mapping, reliable connectivity, good navigation, and the roller mop makes the T80 Omni a very complete robot. More importantly, it's one I can run regularly without having to babysit it.

Overall cleaning performance of this robot vacuum is pretty good. Compared with my old one, the mapping feature has improved a lot. The map is much smarter and the navigation works really well. The suction power is also great, and it does a good job cleaning the floors and mopping them. The biggest downside for me is the noise. It is really, really loud when it’s washing the mop and cleaning the house. I usually like to run my robot vacuum at night while everyone is sleeping, but this one is loud enough to disturb my family’s sleep. So with this one, I usually have to run it during the day instead. The battery life is another thing that could be better. My house is around 2,000 square feet, and it can’t finish mopping the whole house in one go. It has to go back to the station and recharge before it can finish the job. I wish the battery could last longer, especially for a larger home. I also really like the real-time camera feature. It’s pretty cool to be able to check what’s going on around the house when I’m not there. That said, if you’re someone who is concerned about privacy, you may not feel comfortable with this feature. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the cleaning performance, smart mapping, and camera feature. The suction and mopping are both great, but the noise and battery life are definitely things to keep in mind.

I am very impressed with this vacuum/mop. I have 4 kids and we live on a farm. So my house feels like it’s constantly dirty with kids tracking in dirt, dust, grass, mud, and…..other things 💩. If anyone has dirty floors, it’s me. This vacuum truly doesn’t need a babysitter. It has many advantages over other robot vacuums that I have owned. If it gets stuck, which rarely happens, it will alert your phone or watch. It self empties and self cleans the mop. The self emptying is my favorite feature. Nothing is more annoying that realizing the tiny little bin inside the robot filled up after the first 15 minutes and has just been pushing dirt around since then. I like that it has a lot of settings within the app. You can choose from 4 different suction levels, different water amounts from sopping wet to just barely damp, if you want a deep clean or a fast clean or something in between, whether you want it to just vacuum, vacuum and mop simultaneously, or vacuum and then mop. My favorite setting it offers is the 1 vs 2 passes. When you choose 2 passes it goes in one direction back and forth and then switches to the cross direction. It also has a handy “child lock” so they can tip tap on it and mess it up. It’s little brush arm is not only adorable but also very good at reaching into the corners. And the mop slides in and out as necessary to reach into the corners as well. It does a great job of automatically sensing when it’s on a carpet so that it lifts its mop. The app allows you to set up scheduled actions and also set up frequently used actions as pre-programmed favorites. It can set up multiple maps to do multistories. And can apparently lift itself over a fairly large threshold (but I don’t have any to have tested this). I can tell you that it has no problems hopping up onto the carpet. It’s definitely not the cheapest option out there, but I can say it’s well worth what you’ll spend. Replacement parts are available on their website or Amazon. And are very reasonable in price. The owners manual recommends replacing the mop occasionally and the little brush arm as well. There is a bag inside that also need replacing, but even with our very dirty floors, it lasts a long time. I would not hesitate to try some of their other products either. I am very impressed and happy and highly recommend this to everyone who’s been looking for a high quality robot vacuum!!

I am delighted with the Deebot T80 Omni Robot Vacuum and Mop. Setup was easy and the app is pretty intuitive. I had it out of the box and set up in under 10 minutes, and that includes the time I spent looking online for unboxing videos and watching a couple. It connected to my wifi easily. I sent the Omni out to map the house and that took a short time (less than 10 minutes) for my house which is about 1500 square feet. I then sent it to vacuum and mop and had most rooms picked up but I left some stuff laying around one room to see what would happen. The Omni T80 navigated around all my obstacles and had no problems distinguishing rugs from hard floors and cleaned accordingly. The whole house was done in a couple hours. I think going forward I will send it to one room or a two-room zone at a time and move smaller pieces of furniture into a different room, and move waste baskets and smaller things (scale, planters) up to a counter. I’m very happy with the T80 performance on both the tile floors and the rugs. The side sweeper does a super job of moving crumbs into the path of the vacuum and it gets into the corners well. I do not have any pets currently so I can’t speak to how well it deals with pet hair or kitty litter, etc. The machine makes noise but I find it quieter than my upright electric broom, so noise is not a problem for me with this. I think this is a solid performer and I am impressed with the build quality. I expect this will last me a long time. I would be comfortable recommending this to a friend.

I have had and used a Roomba 980 for about 10 years and always thought that it was pretty slick, that is, until I got the Ecovacs Deebot T80 Omni Robot Vacuum and Mop. As the name says, it is vacuum and mop robot in one package. For my Roomba, the base station was just a place for recharging while the Deebot base station is like a full-service center. Sure, it charges the robot, but it also contains water with cleaning solution as well as a replaceable bag to store dust and dirt, and even dirty water from mopping. While cleaning, Deebot redocks to empty dirt, dust and dirty water and to refill with cleaning solution as needed. Deebot will also stop mopping, return to the base station to clean the mop head before continuing. Unpacking and assembly only took a few minutes and required no tools. It mainly involved removing packing material and peeling off protective films. Once I settled the base station into a suitable location on the bedroom level of our tri-level home and plugged it in, I filled the clean water tank with water mixed with the recommended amount of cleaning solution to complete the process. Having other Ecovacs products, I already had the application installed on my phone. After placing the Deebot into the base station to charge, setup was quick and easy, just scan the QR code and the app did the rest with a little input. As with all home robots, a firmware update will almost always be needed during initial setup; allow a few minutes for this process, the app will guide you through it. After initial setup, the next step is to map the area that Deebot will be cleaning. The mapping process is actually fascinating to watch, well to me it is. Just tap to start mapping and the robot meanders around the areas and rooms to be mapped for a few minutes then returns to the base station to announce that mapping is complete. On the Ecovacs app, a complete map of the bedroom level including the location of carpeted hallway and hardwood floors was displayed. The robot divides the mapped area into rooms to which it assigns a generic room number which may not align with what is actually there. For example, separate rooms were assigned to the hallway and landing, and the corner bedroom was divided into two rooms. The Ecovacs app has an impressive map edit function, so it was simple for me to combine the hallway/landing and corner bedroom to reflect what was actually there. I then named each area for clarity. I also set a virtual boundary to exclude the area containing an antique chest that I knew robot would certainly get stuck under. These edits only took a few minutes and were easy and intuitive to do. Since the hallway is carpeted, I chose the cleaning option to vacuum first then mop. It really isn't necessary to do this since the robot can tell the difference between carpet and hard floor and will stow and cover the mop when over carpet. It took the robot a bit less than 2 1/2 hours to complete both passes including stops to clean the mop, recharging wasn't necessary. This time would be greatly reduced had I picked single pass vacuum and mop. At the end of the cleaning job, the hardwood floors were clean and sparkly even under the beds and the carpet was clean. Now we manually run the Deebot T80 cleaning cycle a couple times a week rather than scheduling it through the app. We choose to do this since we are home when it runs and want to pick up dog beds and such beforehand. The dirty water tank is easily accessible; it's right on the top of the base station. It is easy to empty and clean out. The same for the dust collection bag, easy access from the front of the base station when it is time to change it. I am truly impressed with the Ecovacs Deebot T80 Omni Robot and recommend it. For the price, you can't go wrong.

So far, this robot vacuum and mop by EcoVacs works as advertised (been using it for 2 weeks). It was easy to setup following the quick guide that was included. After downloading the app and setting up an account with my iPhone, I was able to connect it to my Bluetooth and 2Ghz WiFi very easily (literally on 1st attempt). The connections are strong and has not disconnected which has been great. As soon as it was connected, I was alerted of a firmware update that was available (version 1.69.0) which was installed without any issues. Be advised that the robot vacuum needs to be docked and charging while performing the firmware update. The EcoVacs app was easy to navigate and allowed me to customize the vacuum & station settings very easily. After mapping the entire house, I ran the robot in vacuum mode only for the initial run. While vacuuming, the robot avoided obstacles very well/gently and did not fall off the 2 step stairs that’s located in my living room. It vacuumed for two hours in deep clean mode and still had 50% battery life remaining which I feel is good. After charging it for an hour, I ran it again in vacuum & mop mode with just plain water and it actually cleaned my hardwood floors surprisingly well. The robot can be configured to vacuum only, vacuum & mop together, or vacuum first then mop. As advertised, it does empty the dust bin inside the vacuum as well as clean/dry the mop automatically which has been very convenient. This is actually when it makes the most noise throughout the whole process. The noise level on the actual robot vacuum was relatively low and not as loud as my very old Roomba. However, there’s a lot of other things that needs to be maintained on the station as well as the robot vacuum to keep it running well. See pic which shows the maintenance info. Also, the price is a bit on the high end at the moment. I saw this same model under a different item listing at Amazon for $399 a week ago (end of August). It’s currently listing for $549.99 which I feel is a bit expensive for one of EcoVacs budget models.

I've always considered previous versions of automated vacuums more of a novelty than a realistic alternative to conventional manual vacuum cleaners. Now, ECOVACS has evolved the technology to the point where they offer a whole line of viable products available at various price points. The T80 is priced significantly below its cousins, the T90 and the X12. From what I can tell, it works very well. As with the other models, it's professionally packed, something that always seems to be an indicator of what's to come. Second, the unit maps the entire house very quickly. My old Roomba took hours of bumping into every wall or furniture leg, then took many iterations to refine its internal map to achieve viable navigation throughout our house. Also, the T80 is quiet. The vacuum's suction power is great, the mop feature is efficient, and it recognizes areas (rugs, carpet) that are to remain dry. The self-cleaning brush is the design feature that makes the ECOVACS mop option a game-changer. I was skeptical; however, I am now a believer. The unit periodically returns to the base to empty the vacuum bin, while simultaneously cycling the brush in clean water. If you're like me, you'll be surprised by how dirty the discarded water appears once it has scrubbed your floors. The unit seems very aware of its surroundings, something that makes the whole process more efficient than the old-school robots of the past. I haven't seen it run into anything yet. I will say the downloadable app took me a while to get used to; however, once I figured it out, everything felt intuitive. Like the other ECOVACS models, the T80 is a great machine and a real step up from the last generation of bots in the vacuum cleaner category.
