This was my first robot vacuum, so I have nothing to compare it to. Set up was easy, it mapped my entire house on Day 1. I can quickly add water or detergent to the docking station, and removal of the dirty water is also quick and easy. I don't have pets, so pet hair isn't an issue for us. It cleans every room efficiently, and I often use the vacuum/mop feature. My kitchen has a fairly high edge (maybe 1/4") and it can get there without getting stuck. The app is easy to navigate, and adding an area was easy as well. The app alerts when the bot gets stuck or if the brushes need cleaning. If you need to, you can pause the cleaning (important phone call or guest) or stop it and send it back to the dock. So far, no issues here and we love ours!

It would take me a long time to tell you why I like this robot. But just get it, try it out and you'll be in love. No more mop, buckets, putting dirty water back on the floor, etc. Just clean, clean, clean. My pups think it's interesting, but they've not tried to ride it yet. Best $$$ I've ever spent

After a lot of research, I purchased this ECOVACS DEEBOT T50 PRO Omni instead of the Max version, since I don’t have carpeting. It weighs about 35 pounds and looks solid. It was packaged well and arrived in perfect condition. You’ll want to keep the packaging in case you need to ship the deebot to ECOVACS under their limited warranty. Additionally, you’ll want to purchase the Asurion Protection Plan for this complex appliance. I purchased the 3-Year Plan. When unboxing it, the bottom mopping pad plates can be removed to peel off the packing tape wrapped around it. There’s a rubber tube holding it in place so I was concerned that I would damage it but it’s flexible. Be sure to get the tube back into place when reinserting the pad plates. This robot is not excessively noisy when running and is much quieter than my Dyson V15. It verbalizes when it’s returning to the station, emptying the dust bin or washing and drying the mop pads. It’s consistently been able to dock without problems. The app needs work and I’ve struggled to navigate it. It’s taken a lot of experimentation to become somewhat familiar with it. Mapping has also been problematic. My impression, from other reviews, was that it would be easy but that wasn’t the case for my house. The portion of my house that I wanted to map is on one level. I have ceiling to floor mirrors on one wall and dark throw rugs and furniture. During initial mapping, the deebot failed to map my hallway, master bedroom and entire living room. It also got hung up on the black star base for my living room chairs that have low slung legs which radiate outward. I have metal thresholds where my floor transitions from ceramic tile to vinyl flooring and the deebot struggled to cross those as well. Fortunately, after many attempts, I’ve finally gotten an accurate, functional map. To accomplish this, I taped 12 inch wide paper to the bottom of the mirrors, picked up all of the dark throw rugs and used an extremely bright flood light to illuminate the area while following the deebot throughout the house. When it turned in my direction, I turned the light away from it. The bright light kept the deebot from hanging up on the radiating chair legs. Instead, it navigated around them resulting in a fully mapped living room. The extra lighting made all the difference when mapping. I've used the new map and it operated as expected, producing excellent cleaning results. I was very frustrated initially with the app but I’m currently optimistic that I have a viable map. If things change and new problems arise, I’ll update this review. I deducted a star due to the app.

Wow! Why have I not had one of these earlier! I love it. Every day my floors are swept and mopped and my carpets are vacuumed and “mopped” The setup and mapping was easy. The app took me a bit to get figured out. After using it for a few days, we changed the carpet area to “vacuum then mop”. It’s a light mop so we figured it would be a more through cleaning. We did do a carpet cleaning before we started using this to start with a clean slate. We have RO water so we know that there will be no calcification build up in the systems. It’s really easy access to the water and waste bin. Overall, we are completely happy with this device. Oh, one other thing…since we know it starts at 9am every day we’ve gotten into the habit of doing a quick walk around to pick up. So a happy side effect is that we are being neater! 😄

It has a very good proposal, but in practice it doesn’t work as well as it should. The camera, which was one of the main reasons I bought it, only worked on the very first day of use and then stopped working, and customer support did nothing useful to help. Although it claims to avoid objects in its path, it’s nowhere near as efficient as advertised. It gets stuck on almost everything left on the floor and catches on every rug, including my area rug in the living room. I do like the mop washing and drying feature, and the water tanks hold a good amount, which makes it possible to run for several days without worrying. However, the clean water tank leaks every time I refill it, leaving a puddle next to the vacuum, which is very annoying. The voice control doesn’t work either, and some of the “smart” features shown in the ads are pretty ineffective. As a regular vacuum, it works very well, but only when the floor is completely clear of obstacles. In those cases, it cleans perfectly. Other than that, nothing really justifies the price tag. I feel I could have invested in another brand known for reliability at this same price. So if you’re looking at buying this as an investment, I’d say look elsewhere.
