I ordered this Backyard Blitz portable basketball hoop for my husband's 12 year-old twins so they'd have another way to get exercise and spend more time outside. Since it's winter, we won't be able to really use it until spring, but I wanted to assemble it ahead of time as part of their Christmas surprise. Assembly: I planned to put this together myself in the garage, but it ended up being more challenging than expected. I did need to call a friend to help since my husband was at work. The instructions are manageable, but this is definitely a two person job and it takes some time. Once assembled, it's very solid, but I wouldn't describe the set up as easy. Height & Fit: The hoop is adjustable from about 5.3 feet up to 10 feet, which is great for kids growing into it. One thing to note is that even at the lowest height, it was still too tall to keep inside our garage. It could have fit if I left out the middle pole, but then it would have been too short for outdoor play later. Since assembly was a bit of a chore, I didn't want to take it apart again, so it's staying outside. Quality & Stability: The hoop feels very durable for a portable system. The backboard and pole feel sturdy, and I like that the base can be filled with either sand or water. We plan to use water so it can be drained and refilled if we need to move it. The built-in wheels are a big plus and make repositioning so much easier. Functionality & Ease of Use: The hand crank height adjustment is a nice feature and should make it easy to adjust for different players. Everything feels solid once assembled, and it looks like it will hold up well to regular play. Value: With the coupon currently offered, I think this is a good value for a portable adjustable hoop. While assembly takes some effort, the overall build quality, adjustability, and portability make it a solid option. We're really looking forward to using it in the spring. I think it'll be really fun for the kids and I have a feeling I'll be out there shooting hoops too. I'll update this review after we've had some real playtime on it.

We couldn’t be happier with our purchase of this basketball hoop! This is a high-quality, thoughtfully designed set that lives up to the expectations. First off, the adjustable height feature is incredible. Whether it’s our youngest kids wanting to practice layups or the adults challenging each other to shoot-outs, being able to go from about 5.3 ft up to 10 ft with the easy hand-crank system makes this hoop truly versatile for all ages and skill levels. The crank operates smoothly, and adjusting height is something even the kids can do themselves. The 44 inch shatterproof backboard is sturdy and durable - it looks and plays like glass without the fragility. It rebounds nicely, and even with heavy shots it hasn’t shown any signs of flexing or cracking. That level of durability gives us confidence this hoop will stay in the family for years. I was also impressed with the stability and construction of the base. Filling it with sand (we did the recommended 154 lbs) made it rock solid, and the wheels make repositioning easy, which is great for storing it when we have friends over or when we need to clear the driveway. Assembly took some time, but the instructions were clear and everything fit together cleanly. Once complete, the final result looks professional and well-balanced. Neighbors have already commented on how great it looks in our yard! Overall, this hoop exceeded expectations. If you’re looking for a durable, fully adjustable basketball system that supports players of all ages - from kids to adults - I highly recommend it. Backyard Blitz has a winner here! I got the 48" Portable Basketball Goal System and it comes packed in a flat box. It is easy to assemble within minutes and the longest part is filling up the base with sand. I chose sand since I didn't want to worry about leaking although I don't think this well made sturdy base could ever leak! It is very stable and does not wobble. It is easy to use the hand crank to raise it up to 10' or to the height under 10' that works for the age range using it. That height adjustability is nice because my kids and their cousins get together once a month and lowering it for them is perfect! When my husband and his buddies play they can raise it back up easily. Keep in mind it does have wheels too! I won't be moving it around with the sand in it but if my husband needed to access the area behind the hoop - he could easily move it with the wheeled base if needed. The backboard is professional looking. It has a clear polycarbonate area within a metal frame so it looks like a professional glass backed hoop. When the ball goes down in the hoop it hits an angled base plate and the ball actually bounces back out to you instead of disappearing somewhere behind the hoop! THAT is awesome!!!!!! This can be used by all age ranges and it is a great value! Highly recommend!!!
