Very sturdy, held up okay in an Arizona wind. The umbrella portion did start to tear at end of season so I’ll probably buy a new umbrella next summer but it was so easy to operate and I liked the flexibility to move it around with the sun.

We just received this yesterday, put it up, and over night we had a small storm with wind. Woke up to the metal pole completely bent. This thing is absolutely afraid of high winds (which weren't that high mind you). The pole is hollow and feels like cheap aluminum so no wonder it bent. I'd recommend finding the clamps it uses and getting a completely different umbrella with a solid pole. ... show more

This umbrella lasted exactly 2 swim days. The second time I opened it the wind immediately snapped the hinge. I wish it was made better. It also started rusting right away. When not in use we keep it folded and in the down position so it’s frustrating that it broke so quickly.
