I love my new 7.2-foot, two-tier cantilever patio umbrella from ECO POOLTECH. This robust, heavy-duty umbrella features an all-aluminum frame with eight strong ribs. Its sturdy construction and anti-oxidation paint makes this patio and pool umbrella seem like it will last for a long time. The umbrella's adjustable height allows for customized positioning, ensuring optimal shade throughout the day. It offers five adjustable height and angle settings. The sturdy aluminum pole and connector facilitate easy tilting and positioning, which I found to be easy. I am very impressed with the fabric. Not bad so far. Feels well built and seems fairly durable. I am not sure how the bending portion will last long term. I get that the hardware is for a universal fit but it's all a little finicky. I mean, if you count it out, you have to hold 2 brackets (with 2 additional bolts captured in the back of the front bracket), 2 rubber pads, 4 bolts, and 4 nuts... Pretty much all at the same time with 2 hands. And that's just to install 1 of the two brackets. The rubber pads could be one piece to make it easier to wrap around the pole and hold in place while bolting the 2 plates together. It's all a little bit hard to do with just 2 hands. Someone on the less handy side will be best off having a helper for an extra hand. The adjuster pole that tightens to hold the umbrella rod needs to be stronger and easier to tighten. Having the tightening mechanism be basically 1in across and slightly knurled just doesn't allow you to tighten well. I had to really crank on it so that the umbrella post wouldn't spin.

The major problem is when it comes time to lower the umbrella. If you've bent it the umbrella can't fully be lowered. Each time you want to lower the umbrella you will have to bend it straight again before you can fully close it. That would be fine if it was easy to bend but it's not easy. It takes a lot of force to bend. Leaving it half opened would be an eye risk and potentially be an issue during high wind. Leaving it fully open isn't a great option either due to wind and because you might not want the shade all the time. The cantilever is also difficult to operate. Sometimes it sticks. Everything else seems fine so far. It's a decent size to give you a fair amount of shade. Unfortunately I see other offset umbrellas that are more functional for the same price and less. I wouldn't purchase this one.

This umbrella is fantastic . It comes with hardware to secure to the rails on your above ground pool but also the ground stake which is surprisingly heavy duty and very easy to attach as well as sturdy enough to keep the umbrella in the ground even with it angled . I am impressed with the various adjustable options height and angle. , The spring at the top to bend it was a little tuff for me to do but may not be for others . The main base pole unit is easy to push the button And turn to angle which ever direction you need making it the perfect shade umbrella no matter the sun’s direction . I have not had a chance to install it to the side of the pool but the pieces to attach it were matching with heavy metals while also providing rubber gaskets to protect your pool rails from scratching . The instructions were very clear and straight forward so I have no question it will be simple especially with the wrenches and accessories ready to go in a zip lock bag . The entire unit fits in a portable bag with a strap and Velcro at the top as well as a Velcro side pocket for hardware. I can’t wait to get lot of use out of this during the summer heat . I wanted this for our pool but also times when we are down at the pond fishing or letting the dog play and need a little shade . This is convenient enough to put up and take down and move it to various locations we need it . I wouldn’t suggest leaving it out in strong winds just like any other umbrella. There was a minor flaw where the black coating was scratched off from some of the metal but that’s not a deal breaker .

It doesn’t look like it but it’s pretty big. I think it could be easier to set up. I was planning on using it by the pool and other places in my yard but I feel like it would need to be stationary.
