The unique and patented process of cutting and folding paper strips makes for an excellent bedding material. Eco-bedding is highly absorbent, easily compostable and completely dust free, solving the problem of inhalant irritations or allergies. Since eco-bed/nest absorbs from the bottom up, the top layer stays dry longer and animals are always on a dry surface. East to spot clean. Eco-bed/nest extends bedding changes from every two to three days to a week or more. Eco-bed/nest holds up to 3.1 times its weight in water. Eco-bed/nest is made of cleanly cut 1/8-inch strips of paper fibers, which means dust is virtually eliminated. Respiratory ailments and other problems resulting from airborne particles are drastically reduced which is important for animals or birds with sensitive respiratory systems. Great for asthma & allergy sufferers (people, animals and birds). The paper strands form a soft, springy, comfortable mat. The bedding in contact with the animal stays dry, as well, for added comfort. Plus, unlike wood-based beddings, eco-bed/nest won't stick to the animals. Can be used as a top layer on other beddings that pack down (shavings, pellets, etc.). Because eco-bed/nest stays "fluffed-up". Also, animals can burrow and tunnel in it. Safe for breeding animals and birds and is not a choking hazard. Unlike harvested beddings such as wood and straw, eco-bed/nest is a controlled, manufactured product made up of 100% recycled paper fibers to ensure consistent, high quality. Elimination of airborne dust means fewer particles to filter and control, resulting in fewer filter changes. Eco-bed/nest appeals to rodents' and birds' urge to build nests. Because eco-bed/nest is a paper product, it can be flushed or trashed for easy, economical disposal. Eco- bedding is 100% recyclable and biodegradable.

We needed dust free bedding for our small pets. Other bedding is made from trees/ wood shavings and very dusty and allergenic. Some shavings like cedar are toxic to rats. We also tried carefresh, made of paper but very dusty. With other bedding my small animals kept getting sneezes and respiratory issues and the humans were also allergic to it. I went on a search to find something that would work. This eco-friendly paper crinkle bedding has no tree sap odor unlike shavings, and is dust free. It’s also enriching for the pets to burrow in. It’s as absorbent as anything else I’ve tried. Bonus it’s a small business and made in the USA. The bedding expands massively so it’s well worth the price, I end up buying four large boxes a year for 6 rats, more economical than any other bedding. Hoping they keep making it. If you're seeking a dust-free alternative to your current bedding, look no further. My rats love playing and foraging in it. The only downside is that it doesnt combat odors like other bedding (such as aspen) but zero dust is worth it for the sake of their health.

Been through - literally - every type of bedding available with guinea pigs and now gerbils. This stuff is simply crinkled pieces of recycled paper, but it's awesome for a few reasons: 1. there is NO DUST, none - some brands say there isn't but there is, this is paper, there is no dust at all, ever 2. this stuff is totally absorbent, but has no smell, and allows for very little smell if you keep up on cleanings 3. it is easy to clean up. with pine I used to use a scoop, and carefresh would get clumpy. this is a breeze. 4. this stuff goes a LONG way - do not be put off bag the bag/box. Gerbils have a 40 gallon tank and even when I create a THIN layer they move it around and "sculpt" it to their liking and it ends up being more than I needed (i.e. those crinkles make the paper expandable, and eventually these creatues will make it expand when they dig and move it around) 5. recycled 6. ironically, my wife has many allergies and this is the only bedding that didn't bother her (nevermind the pets) Recommend very highly. ... show more

Great bedding! I have 2 rats and I switch their bedding around to find what works best for them and my wallet. I found this one and it works wonderful! As it says, there really is no dust which works great for critters and people with sensitivities. It does have some drawbacks as other people are saying, they are like to stick together which makes it slightly more difficult to place in their cages and it seemed like it did make a bigger mess around their cage as clumps and bits of the bedding are found on the floor more intensely than other bedding have done. It does okay on the smell, it does not seem to control the odor too well but enough that it can compete with other paper bedding with fragrances and such. Overall however, the bedding does its job pretty well, my rats seem to like it, and they can push it around as they please. It's easy to clean and is at a decent price. Nice bedding. NO DUST its great. My bunny loves it. Easy to use and does not take a lot to fill cage. It comes packed but when you put it in the cage and shake it out with your hand it blows up full and does not take much. One bag depends on bunny actions has lasted 3 months with me changing the whole cage monthly. My bunny does use a little box so this price is great and last long. ... show more
