I love the Echo Show! It's great to drop in when I need to reach everyone in the house, the speakers are great to listen to music, the alarm clock is great and I can wake up to music instead of a noisy alarm that would put me in a bad mood.. Instead I wake up bopping my head and dancing my way out of bed. I sometimes have trouble sleeping and I love the sounds available to help me fall asleep. I also have family and friends all over the Country and for Christmas I sent some to them and it's a great fun way to see each other and catch up. I've had no negatives about it. Anyone who's complaining about the ads didn't do any research because it's very simple to turn that off. And they aren't even ads.. they offer cool cooking instructions, news, weather and offers what else it can do for you. All in all, I love this product!

Got this 5 5, it works great but... This device can do way more then what it does. And what I mean is Why no play store. Why can't I game with this? Why does it not flip? Would be nice to flip screen to mount under workbench cabnets. Again this could do way more, Amazon put the store back on would you. Next thing I do not like is, I have 2 of these and they spend more time restarting then working. Why would this device not have a recent menu to manually close apps like android, seems like if you can not shut down firefox and other things running all at once, this thing would not keep crashing all the time. The menu that swips from left to right, needs to be moved to the left side of the screen, right now that menu causes a dead spot while useing both web browsers. One show - when starting camera in drop in mode the camera is super blurry for like 15 to 20 seconds. While the 2nd show does not do this. Just strange! Bravo to Amazon for making a single small speaker sound good. Good bass for it's size. I did not know they made these in bigger screens or I would have bought the 8 or 10.1 The screens are just way to small for anything. Alexa has a hard time playing my music playlist. It can not be me, I do not think I talk funny, heck maybe I do! I do like how I can check on my workbench in the garage and my bedroom with audio and video, when I am not home. Would I recommend this to my friends? Yes and No, Yes if they need small form screen, then yes. But then at the sametime on this 5.5 inch screen, I would say no. You gonna need to put on your second pair of eye balls to see any shows on prime. What is going on with Youtube pulling up in a browser??? You have to press to the left of the full screen button on Youtube videos. No double tap to go in and out of full screen. Firefox and silk really? You know what that means 2 super slow web browsers. The Echo Dot seems to hear you better then these 2 show 5's. The Alexa app after a little tinkering does run my Roku tvs. Tv remote way faster tho.

It’s not the price that’s the issue with this product, although it seems the majority of customers list that first. The issue is the design. It has the unfortunate role of being part of a line of products that is innovative, useful and nice to own but doesn’t quite understand how people use things. This is only one example. For whatever reason the designers who don’t actually get out of their cubicles into the real world decided that the one and only way people would want to tilt their Show device is backward, as if they are sitting at a cubicle office desk and need to tilt the screen up toward them. They haven’t figured out that there may be people somewhere in the world that would want to tilt the screen downward, as if the device is up on a shelf, or in my case on a bookcase next to my bed where I use it as an alarm clock. Out of thousands of reviews it seems no one has taken a picture of it tilted that way so I did and I also took one with the stand attached to the device. Here’s the issue – the stand tilts downward fine but the show is made like a pyramid so the base of it naturally slopes backward. The best this stand can do tilted all the way down is to make the screen almost but not quite vertical but never downward. That disenfranchises every person anywhere who wants or needs to put their show at or above eye level. That is my number one reason why it is impossible for this product to earn five stars. Now there’s the price. Sure I’m with the rest of the gang who thinks twenty bucks is too much to spend on a piece of plastic but that’s not a reason to down rate it, we have a choice to buy it or choose one of the other brands that sell for under ten bucks. I think this one is made pretty well. The bottom is a non-slip rubbery material that doesn’t mar furniture. The magnet is strong enough to hold the two pieces together, the color matches and it stays in the position you put it. So all of that is fine. If the designers would have been more inclusive and considered the needs of all of their customers instead of only half of them I would gladly pay the twenty bucks.

I purchased this adjustable stand for my kitchen Amazon Echo Show 5. I like to drop in on my son while I'm at work through the camera at home being that he is back to virtual learning. Without the stand I could only see the upper half of my kitchen from the counter. With this adjustable stand I am now able to move the device on my kitchen counter so I can peek in on the camera as needed and see my entire kitchen perfectly. This adjustable stand is super easy to install or apply to the Echo device. See picture that shows bottom of the Echo & top of the stand. This stand just pops right into the bottom of the Echo. This stand also makes the Echo look better and helps hide the wires a little more. The only downside is the price because I do feel that this item should be around $10. I will definitely be purchasing another stand for our Echo in the bedroom but I will wait for the price to go down a bit. Other than that, I highly recommend this product as it was definitely worth the extra money!

I have been using the Alexa Dot for a couple years and loved it. I decided to upgrade to this version for the purpose of the screen. I love it even More! Has everything I was used to with an visual element as well. It comes with a good sounding speaker however I still have mine wired to a computer system speaker set up with heavy base. Sounds so much better! I use this unit in conjunction with different smart plugs and lights to control my home. It is nice being able to turn on and off appliances with my voice as well as turning on lights and changing the color of them with voice commands. Alexa never lets me down with her Internet wealth of knowledge. Well almost never… There are some things she just can’t seem to figure out yet. We will see if she improves over time. I know there’s other smart home device systems out there but as a huge Amazon user this seems like the way to go. I do so much of my ordering through Amazon as well as the Prime Video, Kindle and audiobooks. This just ties everything together so nicely. Very pleased! And the size is perfect. Large enough to see the screen but does not take up a lot of room. I also bought the additional stand for it to go on which is a huge plus for my situation/location that I have it set up in. I would definitely buy this again.
