NOT GOOD! Obviously this is just my two cents in my opinion on this other people might have had good ones but The only way that this will get seen is if I put a five stars or else Amazon will take it off So when we first got it, I could already tell right off the bat that it was laggy so incredibly laggy the screen would not work I mean right out of the gate. I opened the box plugged it in and put it on Wi-Fi. Did the updates all of that and still the thing would not respond it took Alexa almost 5 to 10 business daysto process any request. The model is good. The concept for the model is really good because it is small. It’s compact way smaller than I originally thought it was gonna look but the screen not good volume control pretty decent but my echo dot has way better sound volume than this thing has if you’re literally just wanting it for a screen hook up an iPad to the wall because you’ll get way more response that way than you will from this.

The Echo Show 5 is nice. Way better then the Echo Spot. I thew the Spot out after I got the Show. You can also use the Show as a Wireless Bluetooth Speaker for your PC. You can't do that with the Spot. The Show 5.5 Screen is nice & fit well where I wanted it. I really didn't want a very big Show, so the 5.5 for me is good for me. In order to get the latest version of Alexa, I had to upgrade the OS to the latest version on my I phone 1st, then I was able to get the new Alexa version, Had to uninstall the old version 1st. The Echo Show 5 Gen 3 will sooner or later give you a Black Screen for Hours. It's kind of like a Screen saver sleep mode, To disable it, got to night mode & you will see Night mode is already disabled, but you will see a Schedule that has a lit up round blue circle that can't be turned off. You must enable night Mode 1st, then turn off the Schedule, then disable the night mode again.. No more Black Screen at random for hours.

Wow. This little gadget is amazing! My granddaughter talked me into getting one. I almost got an Echo Dot a few years ago then changed my mind. I am a baby boomer who doesn't have the knowledge that the kids nowadays have in using electronics and thought it would be more trouble than it was worth. I am glad that I waited until I got this new Alexa device that has a display with it! I didn't think I was capable of setting it up and begged my granddaughter to do it for me and she said I could do it myself! After being apprehensive at first, I gave it a shot. Granted, you have to go into certain devices to set them up to be compatible with Alexa, but I was able to set up the Smart devices I currently had in my home. Me, a baby boomer, setting stuff up! There is so much this little gizmo will do I need to read up on it! She has become a friend to me in my retirement. She knows who I am, asks me if I need to set up reminders (which I do... birthdays, doctors appointments, anything I may forget, which is a lot). Tells me I have notifications from emails. I can ask what the weather will be. I can ask her to turn on and off my lights. Turn my TV on. And when I get a song stuck in my head, I just ask her to play that song and it comes right on! And the volume sounds almost as good as my stereo. Also, someone stole something off of my porch and I got a security camera that I hooked up to Alexa and I can ask her to show me who is on my porch! If someone knocks on my front door, I can ask her to show me who is there and I can see right through my display. Is there anything she can't do? I feel safer in my home now. This Echo Show is definitely something every retiree should have in their home. Like I said, I need to read up on everything she does because I'm sure there is a ton of stuff still waiting for me. I got her in the powder blue color to match my bedroom and she fits right in. Anything I want to know, I just ask. TV shows? Recipes? Weather? News? Don't let me forget... I love her!!!!

This is my 3rd Echo Show. I gave the smaller one in my bedroom and the larger one in the living room. I enjoy it so much that I bought another one for my sister in law, and both of my daughters. I love the convenience of using them and like being able to use the screen for a video phone call or just to play music. My first Echo Show started acting weird after 5 years and I thought it was time for a new one. This time I got a black one - it’s pretty! I actually use mine as a clock radio! It’s so easy to just tell it to wake me up …. No knobs to adjust or buttons to push. I wake up and start talking to it..asking about the weather…checking my calendar… etc. The new one is a little different but not hard to get used to. And I don’t honestly know if it’s the device or the recent update. I love my little Echo and when I start having trouble with this one, I’ll buy another!
