Description

Liberty Oil is a 100% synthetic oil in a 1-fluid-oz bottle with a stainless steel needle tip dispenser. Because it is premium quality 100% synthetic oil it easily outperforms all other oils on the market. This oil contains two friction modifiers that bond and protect the metal and act like tiny ball bearings to reduce friction and wear. The bottles are new using LDPE, a very soft plastic that is easy to squeeze. You will also receive a 1.5-inch 18-gauge stainless steel needle tip that is of pharmaceutical grade with a patented Luer lock cap to ensure that you have no leaks from your bottle and cap.

  • Great oil for cuckoo clocks and worked immediately to restart a stopped cuckoo clock!
My cuckoo clock stopped working several months ago and I was just waiting to drop it off with the clock lady in our town (she’s REALLY GOOD!) On a whim I looked up on YouTube about cuckoo clock maintenance and it was mostly all about oiling it every 3-5 years—-the last time it stopped was over 5 years ago, so I read and watched the video and I was nervous but said what the heck-I invested less than 9 dollars got this TOTALLY SYNTHETIC OIL (which all reviews said to use) and I applied a drop at all the pivot points (which were easily described in the video) and now, 5 hours later it is STILL running smoothly! It wasn’t the money I saved (which I did big time) but the fact that I saved the hassle of bringing it down to the clock shop and waiting a few weeks and having to go back a SECOND time to pick it up! Oil was perfect and I highly recommend! ... show more

  • Good oil at a good price.
I needed this oil for a nearly 50 year old grandfather clock. Works as advertised.

  • How to Use this Product
Took my old Sessions Mantle clock out of the case. Cleaned it as best I could without disassembling it and oiled all the pivot spots. The clock came alive again and keeps perfect time. I especially like the loooong spout. Just be sure NOT to squeeze the bottle. Just touch the spout to the pivot point and let a bit of oil get out. Apply to both sides. Worked great. ... show more

  • Easy to use
I bought this oil to oil my antique mantel clock. The quality and ease of use were good. I had no leakage, but my clock stopped functioning well after I oiled it. I'm assuming it was because I oiled it to much

  • Worked Very Well
Used this oil on a Grandmother clock that had stopped working. had to clean it twice and put more oil on pins than I had hoped, but the clock is now working. The needle allows placing the oil where you want it not everywhere.

  • How do you start a mechanical clock that was made in 1881 and has not worked in 50 years?
The media could not be loaded. Buy this oil! I inherited this beautiful mantel clock 40 years ago. My parents inherited it 50 years ago. It has never worked. If you started the pendulum it would swing for 3-5 seconds and then stop. I tried to get it running many times in the past 40 years with no success. I read that Liberty Oil was so good it could start an old mechanical clock. I was dubious but decided to give it a try. I oiled the gears in the mechanical movement. I started the pendulum and it stayed going for about 30 seconds. With some optimism, I oiled a couple of gears again and restarted the pendulum. It’s been running for 28 hours without a hiccup. It’s even donging at half past the hour and at the top of each hour. Thank you Liberty Oil! You changed my beautiful clock from just a piece of art to a functioning time piece. ... show more
