Description

Liberty Oil is a 100% synthetic oil in a 1-fluid-oz bottle with a stainless steel needle tip dispenser. Because it is premium quality 100% synthetic oil it easily outperforms all other oils on the market. This oil contains two friction modifiers that bond and protect the metal and act like tiny ball bearings to reduce friction and wear. The bottles are new using LDPE, a very soft plastic that is easy to squeeze. You will also receive a 1.5-inch 18-gauge stainless steel needle tip that is of pharmaceutical grade with a patented Luer lock cap to ensure that you have no leaks from your bottle and cap.

I used this oil to fix a 33 year old new in the box Howard Miller clock. retail is $1599.00 + tax. The clock arrived and it's Amazing ! The most beautiful clock I have seen. It worked perfect for 4 days then it went nutz. I am pretty handy about fixing almost anything. I was a little nervous about taking this clock apart. Most of it was simple but I had to take off the hands and the Dial to be able to look close and oil everything. It's not for the faint of heart. ( Most of the time you clean and oil.) But this Clock was clean. It just needed a very very small amount of oil in the correct places. OK..OK I used Youtube to help. The GOAL was the get the clock apart make sure I oil every spot that needs oil. Less oil is better! ( I use a toothpick! ) And when complete the clock should look like no one ever touched it.OHH and it should also work ! Project complete. ... show more

    • Good thin oil, got one of my old clocks running again.
This is good stuff. Have an old wind up wall clock with a pendulum and chimes. It quit running at all. I had 2 options take it down to a pro clock shop or try some oil from Amazon. Decided on Amazon!! After the oil arrived I was impressed with the needle spout which made it easy to put oil on small gears and sprokets etc. I spent less than 30 minutes lubbing up the clock running perfectly now, good for another 50 years! ... show more

    • Works well for my clocks, but info on product is lacking
I received the package in good time. I was little uncertain about the green colour of the oil, but I tried it on two miniature pendulum clocks that haven't run in decades. After applying the oil and coaxing the clocks a little (and wiping the pivot holes and oiling a little again), they both ran smoothly as they were supposed to do. Very satisfied! I've heard some stories on discussion forums that the company and the source of the oil being suspect, but I tried a another light oil on one of the clock without success and Liberty oil works. It's a reasonable price for that kind of oil and the bottle with the needle applicator. If it turns out to cause problems with the clocks later on within the year of this review, I will update this posting. Professionals may want to think twice about getting it, though. There's no address of the company and no MDSDS info. Otherwise, (to repeat) it seems to work well and there's no discolouration of the brass that I can see so far. ... show more

watched some videos on line how to oil grandfather clock. Removed face of click, found the oil holes and places suggested on the videos. My clock is running like new. This product works amazingly well.
