  • The perfect kitchen companion
Color: Glacier White Configuration: Device only
I absolutely love my white Amazon Echo Show 8—it has become one of the most useful and enjoyable additions to my kitchen. The clean white design looks modern and minimal, and it blends beautifully with my kitchen décor without feeling bulky or out of place on the counter. One of my favorite things about it is how convenient it makes everyday tasks. While I’m cooking, I can simply ask Alexa to pull up recipes, set multiple timers, convert measurements, or add items to my grocery list without having to stop what I’m doing. The 8-inch screen is the perfect size—large enough to easily read recipes or watch quick cooking videos, but compact enough that it doesn’t take up too much counter space. I also love using it to play music or podcasts while I’m in the kitchen. The sound quality is surprisingly great, filling the room without sounding tinny or too loud. It makes cooking, cleaning, and even just making coffee in the morning feel more enjoyable. Another feature I use a lot is the ability to quickly check the weather, calendar reminders, and news while I’m starting my day. The display quality is bright and clear, and the touchscreen is very responsive. It’s also nice that it can show rotating photos when it’s idle—it almost feels like a digital picture frame, which adds a cozy touch to the kitchen. Overall, the Echo Show 8 has been incredibly practical and fun to use. It keeps me organized, entertained, and makes cooking so much easier. If you’re looking for a smart display that’s functional, stylish, and easy to use, I highly recommend it. It has truly become a little kitchen assistant that I didn’t realize I needed but now wouldn’t want to live without. ... show more

  • Huge Upgrade — Amazing Sound and Super Smart
Color: Charcoal Configuration: Device only
The Echo Show 8 completely exceeded my expectations. The new spatial audio makes a massive difference — music, videos, and Alexa responses sound fuller and clearer than any previous Echo I’ve owned. The screen is bright and sharp, perfect for quick info, recipes, or video calls. Setup was fast, and the built‑in smart home hub instantly recognized my devices. It feels like a true centerpiece for an open living space, exactly as advertised. The performance is smooth, the camera quality is solid, and the whole device feels premium. For the price, this is one of the best smart displays you can get. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • A smart addition to our home!!
Color: Charcoal Configuration: Device only
I recently purchased the Amazon Echo Show 8 (newest model) and I can honestly say that it has exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I set it up, I was blown away by the impressive features and sleek design. First and foremost, the sound quality is phenomenal! The spatial audio really brings music, podcasts, and videos to life. Whether I'm hosting friends for a game night or just relaxing with some tunes, the sound fills the room beautifully. It even makes my favorite songs feel like a live concert experience right in my living room! The ease of use is another standout feature. Setting up the Echo Show 8 was a breeze, and I love how intuitive the touch screen is. Whether I'm making video calls to family or checking the weather, everything is just a few taps away. Alexa is incredibly responsive and understanding, which makes controlling my smart home devices such a seamless experience. I can adjust the lights, thermostat, and even check security cameras—all with just my voice or a simple swipe! I also appreciate the versatility of the Echo Show 8 as a smart home hub. It has streamlined all my connected devices into one central location, making it easier than ever to manage my home. The ability to create routines that automate my day-to-day tasks is a game changer. I can wake up to my favorite playlist, get the daily news, and even have the coffee pot ready—all without lifting a finger! Lastly, the visual display is vibrant and sharp. I'd love to use it for recipe videos in the kitchen or as a photo frame to showcase our favorite memories. It truly feels like a multifunctional centerpiece in our home. Overall, the Amazon Echo Show 8 has become an essential part of our daily lives. It combines exceptional sound quality, impressive smart home capabilities, and user-friendly design into one amazing device. • Strong device, with one important limitation
Color: Charcoal Configuration: Device only
The Echo Show 8 (3rd Gen) is a solid smart display and, for most uses, one of the better-balanced Echo devices Amazon currently sells. As a smart home hub, it’s responsive and reliable. The display is the right size for a nightstand or kitchen, Alexa responses are quick, and features like photo display, calendars, reminders, and smart device control work exactly as expected. Spatial Audio is a nice upgrade, and for single-device playback, sound quality is very good for its size. Where this device falls short is as a Multi-Room Music (MRM) participant. When used in MRM groups over time, the Show 8 (3rd Gen) can introduce audio instability—brief pauses, delayed volume changes, or momentary desync compared to non-display Echo devices. These issues don’t always show up immediately and may appear only after extended uptime or repeated group playback sessions. Reboots typically restore normal behavior temporarily. To be clear, this isn’t a constant failure and doesn’t make the device unusable—but it does mean the Show 8 isn’t as reliable in whole-home audio setups as standard Echo speakers. In my experience, Echo Dots, Studios, and other non-display models are better long-term citizens in MRM groups. Used on its own, or primarily as a smart display with occasional music, the Echo Show 8 (3rd Gen) performs well and is easy to recommend. If your main goal is reliable, always-on whole-home audio, you may want to limit display devices in your MRM groups or use them sparingly. Overall, this is a very good smart display—just not the strongest choice as a core component in a multi-room audio system. ... show more

  • Wish I would have gotten this a long time ago. Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this device!
Color: Charcoal Configuration: Device only
I absolutely love my echo show age 3rd generation! Perhaps legal upgrade someday to a bigger one, but for now this is perfect for my table next to my bed. I can use it to watch Netflix and all kinds of other things you can watch on their different apps. You can get on the Internet. You can listen to music you can listen to books I mean I’ve gotten so much use out of it and I just absolutely love. I can’t believe I didn’t have one sooner. I highly recommend this. I plan on hooking my security camera and they will also integrate with this item . I’m pretty sure it will hook up to a smart Home items especially they will if they work with Alexa. It’s easy to set up. I’m also buying a battery stand for it so I can take it with me when it gets warmer out outside if I want to when I go to sit on the porch or whatever I do outside. The music sounds great on it! The quality of watching movies or videos on it is great also. You also configure it with your Alexa app, which is very easy to do. It’s pretty much self-explanatory when you’re setting it up. it’s easy personalized for the things that you would like on there. I’ve spent some time going through all the little things that has on that you can do and it’s just there’s so much to do. I can’t even name everything. It’s great. I recommend that wouldn’t get that you know Jesus smart devices. I plan on hooking the external Bluetooth speaker up to it also. Corino, it’s very easy to ask questions like you on on any other electric device. The connectivity is great besides it just perfect. and like I said, it’s very easy to use very easy to set up and the controls on top of it or very easy. There’s only a few of them to do so there’s the volume up and down and the on button and the little switch if you’d like to turn the camera off, so you know if you feel more comfortable, not having the camera on oh and also you can use it as a camera in the room that it’s in and watch it from your phone from the Alexa app. It’s great that way if I think someone’s in my room, I can just turn on the camera from my phone app and see if someone’s in there or what’s going on in there. And it has two way talking on it if you wanna talk to the person in the room.. And really it’s not very heavy at all. I’m excited to get the battery to put on it to see how it is the carried around like that so when I go outside, you can have it also. Great device the great device for sure I wish I would’ve gotten a lot sooner. ... show more

  • Full of ads and not very user friendly
Color: Charcoal Configuration: Device only
TLDR: I work as a developer and love smart home products. I could not believe how difficult this thing is to set up. Will probably return it because I'm pretty certain that an ipad glued to a bluetooth speaker would be leagues better than this. Full complaint: So I purchased the echo show 8 for the primary purpose of being the visual component to the security system which consists of 2 blink doorbells, and 3 blink cameras. I wanted to put it in my kitchen so I could also listen to music, watch tv, or ask questions while I cook. Here are some of my major frustrations: ~~~~~~~~Echo Show 8: 1. Generally, the UI is just plain terrible. It is really hard to find things I am looking for and many aspects I can only change on my phone. Like why are there settings that can only be changed on a smaller screen? ==>Amazon responded to this by saying that "Echo Show devices are more voice-command centric with an added visual/touch component" But literally every time you want the Echo Show to learn something new, you have to add it in the Alexa app on your phone... however, all Amazon needs to do is put the Alexa app on the tablet and all of these headaches would be solved! 2. The home screen is not customizable at all. Sure there is a settings page with like 3000 toggles for things that can flash across my screen in a individual, full screen, marquis fashion, but I don't know how that could possibly be helpful. I'm just supposed to stand there and stare until the weather or whatever happens to swipe by? Why can't I just have a screen with my most common apps on it? For example, I would love to have a home screen with a button for each of my common cameras, fire tv, and netflix. This is why I made the comment about a tablet glued to a bluetooth speaker would be better. I could have all the apps I want, where I want them. Siri will open the alexa/blink/spotify app for me. 3. Advertisements. This concern is also with my Fire Stick but why are there ads? This is not a subscription service, I PAID for this device. I remember Amazon played this game with the Kindle so that you could by a cheaper Kindle that would have ads on the lock screen, but now they just put ads everywhere no matter what. Why can I not turn off ads? ==> Amazon responded to confirm that you cannot turn ads off any of their devices! ==> This is number 3 on this list but is also number 1 on my list of reasons I will no longer buy any amazon tech products in the future. 5. Alexa will show me my cameras, but keeps telling me that it can't connect to either of my doorbells, even though I can view the doorbells in my Blink and Alexa apps on my phone. ==> Amazon tells me to disconnect them in the app and try again, but, as I've already said, if you put the app on the tablet, this issue would would not exist or be easier to solve. While this review is about the Echo Show, my primary reason for purchasing was to use with Blink systems, so I'm going to add my reviews on them here too: ~~~~~~Blink App/cameras 1. Can't add multiple accounts to system. There are 4 people that live in my home, why can't I add members to the household instead of having to give them my email/password? ==> It would also be great if I could give them different permissions or assign only certain doorbells/cameras as viewable to specific users. This is standard in almost all of the other smarthome gadgets I have that involve security (such as smart locks, etc) 2. If open my app to view the doorbell or cameras, it shows a live view for about 20 secs and then turns off. Why can't I just live stream? I'm still on the free trial, but it says I won't even be able to live stream at all if I don't pay a monthly fee, so, If I'm paying for a service, why can't I have the service?? 3. It takes way too long for any and all devices to load the camera view. This is especially critical when someone rings the doorbell and they have to wait for my app to open, then connect, and then for the audio to transmit 4. Speaking of audio, when I turn on my microphone, the person on the other side can barely hear me. ... show more
