This is an excellent tool. has worked extremely well on everything i've thrown at it.. the pole and overall build of it is much bulkier & heavier than anticipated when fully extended that's where the bulky heaviness works against you a bit. But , I feel this is how it should be rather than breaking in half. All that leverage being fully extended it holds up well! Love ECHO, have always had good products from them. I have a weed-eater that's over 20 yrs old that still runs and works great! Assembly was easy. It started right away. Caveat, it is heavy. It is fairly light for the tool it is but unless you are very well built holding a big saw like this will wear you out in a hurry. The up side is that you can trim a lot of branches in a short time. Funny, I don't remember using a saw like this to be so hard 20 years ago. LOL ... show more

    • This is a large proffesional telescoping unit.it is a mans pruner.
This unit has run flawless.it cost more than most "jimmy lee" brands .it is a man size unit with plenty of telescoping reach and power.if a person dont have the money ,save it up ,the unit is worth it .i have used ours on an off all season ,no problems at all.

The item is evidently a revised version of the item, as the assembly instructions differ considerably for this model. Following the instructions (Which were pictographic with minimal text) as best I was able it went together with little difficulty but upon staring the engine the saw chain remained motionless.
