Fairly easy to set up. Ridiculously heavy to move. Like 200 lbs. Or more. Seat is very uncomfortable. I had to buy another. To do anything with it you have to pay at least $40/month for an account.

The bike's build quality may be good, but frankly, that's where the positives end. The resistance adjustment requires logging in, and the bike constantly struggles to connect automatically to wifi. Unless you want to pay for the subscription, all you can do is unsaved freestyle rides, which play an ad picture for echelon classes throughout the entire ride. It lacks multimedia functionality and developed a loud squeak in the drivetrain after just 20 hours of ride time. I managed to fix it with silicone spray, but even that made the belt slip if I tried to accelerate with force. All in all, this bike's cons render it as useful as bikes costing nearly a third of its price, and its connection and login issues make it a hassle to set up and start a ride. ... show more

I have owned one of these bikes for 3 years. I will always own an Echelon bike in my home. Best exercise equipment I have ever purchased.

My husband had no issues assembling the bike, its quite, easy to use, the only thing I see a problem with is connecting my apple watch, every time I use the machine.

    • Run as far away as you can from this bike and company
The bike app didnt work upon arrival, their answer was to unplug for 60 seconds. The speaker lets out a high pitch squeal , but only when its on. The return procedure is a wreck, tech support and customer service is a joke.. still waiting on a return call. The bike looks nice but the app and tech support is crap ... show more

    • Echelon does not support their customers
2 Resistance encoder wheels failed within 30 days of owning the bike. The original and the warranty replacement. Echelon’s policy is to have you install. They would not provide a service technician even on the second replacement. Customer service is difficult get through to a supervisor and if you do, they will not change their policy. Their claim is that this an easy fix. The easy fix took over 3 hours and includes removing a pedal, 2 shields, resistance knob, routing small wires through an already full of wire frame tube, installing a new reverse polarity wire…for some strange reason the polarity changes, cable tying wires…all the while being careful not break wires, shields or the poorly designed resistance knob control. Instructions provided are very generic and leave out steps. Once complete, the bike worked as intended for 2 weeks and then the resistance knob quit working again. I did not do enough research on the issues with the resistance control as there plenty of reports available online with details. Echelon’s pricing and availability of freestyle rides is why I chose this bike. BEWARE - Echelon will not support their design and the longevity of the bike working is suspect at best. ... show more
