After I posted it and gave 4 stars the vendor reached out to me to see what could be done. We had 5 discussions on this and came away with 1) they will add how to properly use the ratchet straps to the instructions. I have seen what they will add so I am confident that they will. They are also exploring a better "semi-circular plate" set-up. Their customer service was awesome to work with. I will definitely use their products again. They earned 5 stars! I purchased this item for a narrow tire e-bike. The item arrived sooner than expected and was packaged well for such a heavy item. I was able to assemble this by myself. I found the instructions to be adequate. There are 3 items that I felt should have been explained better in the instructions. 1) the ratchet straps did not hold. I reached out to customer service for an explanation. Apparently I am used to putting straps through the "front" of the ratchet lever where the gripper touched the strap. CS sent me a picture showing the strap going in from behind ( see attached pictures). Doing that caused the strap to work correctly. They seem to hold pretty well but make sure you use the provided velcro for added security. 2) There was only enough room on each upright for one of the semicircle plates. It appears that the detente for these plates is not deep enough. I hope that one per side will work. 3) M10 Short Outer Hexagon Bolt: The instructions explain where it goes and what its for. What it doesn't tell you is that if you tighten this bolt you will not be able to remove the #16 Bent Pin. Apparently this puts enough tension on the "rotating group" that it binds it up. Backing the bolt off allows the bent pin to be removed easily. The unit is sturdy (heavy) and holds my bike well. I have not yet added a second bike. I give this a 4 only because the instructions were lacking. The CS agreed to look into changing this. I also feel the bar where the tire sits is too narrow. Adding a plate would make it easier to load (and heavier on the hitch). I did not mention this to CS

This is the best e-bike rack we have seen. We transport two bikes. Load quickly and ramp makes it easy - no lifting. Well designed and functional. Be sure to fasten straps when not in use so you dont lose the padding/protection sleeve. We have both 2.5” and 4” tire bikes and both work well in the cradles.

Sturdy rack, one part had a bad weld. I contacted customer service and they got back to me quickly. They sent a replacement part that was off someone's return because it had marks where the bolts tighten against but it looked ok enough to let it go.

Good strong bike rack. We have two E-bikes and it works great. Not hard to load and secure the bikes. Fyi we have this mounted on the back of our 5th wheel RV.

A little difficulty in assembly, but is sturdy and works well. I had one of the crossbar clamps slide off the arm and it was lost. I contacted the seller, and they immediately sent me a replacement. That is excellent customer service. (If you have one, put a bolt through the end of the two support arms so that the clamps don’t slide off!)

Unit was easy to assemble. I did notice some lateral movement of the vertical support post that has the attachment that secures the bike to the seat post tube. This concerned me at first but when I took a test run with my bike in the rack. The bike was steady in the rack even on the interstate at 70 miles per hour. I really like the ramp attachment. It makes loading my 49 lb. ebike easy.

Doesn’t fold if you have a spare tire on the back, like my Jeep Wrangler has. Nothing in the product info suggests it won’t work with a Jeep
