Very happy with this. Easy to attach and detach from the car. Heavy duty. I have 2 e bikes and was concerned about the bike rack breaking under the weight because of other reviews I read about racks that had a lower max weights and the horror stories of them breaking and destroying bikes and cars. I have been looking at this bike rack for a while, when my friend bought one I got to see how rugged it was so I ordered one. I carry 2 ebikes and the rack does not move. The only drawback is it is quite heavy, but otherwise it is solid.

We needed to upgrade our bike rack for new ebikes that are heavier than our old Schwinn beach cruisers. Came well packaged with fairly straight forward instructions. Assembly went well with the exception of inserting some plastic shims on each side of the stabilizer bars where they bolt to the frame. I couldn't get both in and ended up grinding one of them down so it would fit. I'm not sure how anyone would have been able to do that without a bench grinder. The thing is heavy so I assembled it in place on our RV. It is well built and folds up against the back of our trailer when not in use. I really like the locking bolt that secures it to the RV's frame hitch. It tightens down so there is no slop and has a hole in the end for a padlock. Nice unit for the money.

Good carrier but be cautious and check your buckles and hardware every few thousand miles. I just used this rack with 2 70 lb ebikes on a 7000 mile trip across the country. It did fine on the back of my Roadtrek van except for the hardware loosened up after 4k. The strap buckles for the rear tires coming loose was a concern since the tire isn't in a pocket. There is a single Allen head 1/4" bolt that backed out about a quarter inch before I noticed it. Knowing this I have been checking the latches every night and sometimes tightening them up. I have a swing away Hitch adapter between the rack and receiver so the bikes bounce way more than with the rack alone. This could be why. Now that I'm home from my trip I'll put some blue thread locker on the bolts. Hopefully that helps.

Unit was easy to assemble. I did notice some lateral movement of the vertical support post that has the attachment that secures the bike to the seat post tube. This concerned me at first but when I took a test run with my bike in the rack. The bike was steady in the rack even on the interstate at 70 miles per hour. I really like the ramp attachment. It makes loading my 49 lb. ebike easy.

The rack is secured with safety pins to the hitch which is not ideal these days. This would’ve been nice to know before buying. For others- lock beam should be less than 7mm, per the manual if you have one on hand or need to buy one.
