The media could not be loaded. Upon opening the package for this hose, I found a storage bag right at the top! I didn’t realize when purchasing this came with a storage bag. This will be great during winter when I store my garden things in the garage. The material on the outside of this hose reminds me of a bungie cord. It’s soft and when you pull the material it stretches and turns into a wavy shape. This hose seems a lot sturdier than my old expandable hose, and it is made very differently. This hose comes with a direction insert, which explains how to use your hose for the FIRST time. It also gave directions on installing a rubber washer and the on/off knob, but both of those things were already done on my hose. Each end of the hose has solid brass fittings, which feel heavy and sturdy. Overall, the hose is lightweight and easy for me to carry/move. There are also four extra rubber washers included. I hooked up the hose per the directions, set it to off, and turned on the water spigot until the hose was full. [It definitely expanded to 100 feet (photo).] Once that is done, the hose is ready to use. FUNCTION: In spray mode, the hose remained extend to its full length, however, when opening the gasket all the way, the hose began to retract and felt like stretching a rubber-band (video). The hose still stayed pretty long, but it’s something to note depending on how you use your hose. I followed the directions to turn off the water and let the hose empty. It quickly reverted to its compact size (photo). Overall this is a good, light weight hose and much sturdier than my old expandable.

This Nifty Grower Heavy-Duty Metal Garden Hose Nozzle is the ABSOLUTE! BEST! hose nozzle I have ever had in my hand and now just ten minutes after I opened the box I have put three more in my Amazon CART. This is way better than the five or six dollar nozzles. As soon as you take it out of the package you have this feeling of "AHH, Finally! I found a solid nozzle" So you screw it on the hose and you turn on the water and you just begin to pull the lever and you realize you have perfect control over the flow of the water. Then you turn the solid brass dial on the back of the nozzle and it gives you a thrill because you discover that it has a high and low variable adjustment. Each pattern on the dial results in a PERFECTLY aligned stream of the pattern chosen. I'm usually the guy that tries to save money on stuff like a outside hose nozzle, but after the last one that was supposed to be great I decided to buy myself a more expensive one for my birthday as a present to myself, LOL. Now I am going to buy three more because as soon as the competition finds out about these they are going to copy them and then they will look the same but be junk but people will buy them because of the lower price and then will stop selling the good ones, sooooo I'm gonna buy more NOW! I am adding this because yesterday I realized that this nozzle SAVES you MONEY , When you use this nozzle you have precise control where the water goes, even on the JET setting 20 feet away! BUY THIS Nifty Grower Heavy-Duty Metal Garden Hose Nozzle AND YOU WON"T EVER GO BACK to the $6 choice!

Bought two of these two years ago and very happy with them. Except for one thing. They are great quality with solid connectors and somehow shoot water further than a regular hose so I use shorter hose lengths but can reach just as far (making it easier to coil after use). BUT, they kink really easily.

Update: the hose started to get some in it hole after about 5 months! Broke down completely a few days ago and I mean total loss. Water splashing everywhere! Conclusion: do not buy! I left the old review so the story is clear. I gotta say, not very often do I get to stumble upon a product that turns out to be a lot better than what I knew and thought possible, by reading other people reviews and taking the risk of buying something new. Now I wanna be real here, this is only a garden hose. Also, it might have a potential for a durability problem. However, after a few weeks of using, it's still very good. will update if needed. The bad: Got some of it's threads winded up after using it very casually for about one month. That didn't affect the use of it so it is still a 5 stars. The good: - Light weight! 100 ft version is very easy to handle. The thing shrinks to a very small, easy-to-carry bundle. - Maneuverability is amazing. I am still talking about a hose, but it is a surprisingly good mechanism. - Solid metal parts with a good tap at its end. Totally got carried away with this, but Hopefully it'll serve some people out there.

A terrific hose. The Nifty expandable hose will expand to stated length and then suck itself right back up when the water is turned off, it is more flexible than a rubber hose, which makes it very maneuverable and it has a built in shutoff at the end of the hose so when using without an attachment you do not need to run back to the main shutoff to turn the water off. Unfortunately, I ran into a problem with the hose after about 8 months when it sprung a leak. Fortunately the customer service promptly replaced the hose after i notified them of my problem. At first i was hesitant to even contact them because nowadays customer service is not very good with most companies but I am glad i did. I also have another one of their hoses that is about 2.5 years old and going strong. Read my other reviews I give credit when do. I am not affiliated with the company or anyone associated with the Nifty Hose company and picked this hose because of its features. I highly recommend this hose to anyone who is in the market for a hose and not ;) You never know when you will need an expandable hose.
