My wife and I love our back patio area, but at certain times of the year, it can get a little cold. We've been talking about getting some type of heater. We like the table versions (my mom has one of these), but we don't have a lot of room on our patio with the furniture and grill. I like this type of heater because it is better for space. It doesn't have the double utility of the tabletop heaters, but it takes up less space. We got a full sized 15 lbs Blue Rhino propane tank, which fit fine. It is very sturdy. We filled the bottom with water. It says to do sand and water. We didn't have any sand on had, so we plan to add some later, but it was still very stable. It was easy to put together. It took us about 30 to 45 minutes to put it together, and then another 15 to 20 minutes to put it where we wanted on the patio. The whole project took no longer than an hour and half, but likely much less than this. The directions are very easy to understand. It works without any troubles and lets off a lot of heat. At full blast, we could feel the heat about 6 to 9 feet away. The wheels make it very easy to move around. We ordered a cover for it on Amazon. There are many that are a great value. We have a deck umbrella by East Oak so I was excited to see this patio heater by them being offered. It arrived well packaged with no damage. It took about an hour to fully assemble. Comes with a base you can fill with sand and/or water. Along with the filled base and the propane cylinder, there's alot of weight and wind shouldn't be an issue. Once I had it all put together, it started on the first try. Puts out A LOT of heat. Our last patio heater had a door to access and change out tanks. I think I like this method better because it gives the unit a cleaner look. Will be nice to sit around this on cooler spring nights. Another winner from this brand! I thought this patio heater would be your typical home quality heater, but it is actually right up there with any commercial level qualityI have seen. The assembly was relatively easy. Don’t let the thick instruction manual scare you. Just follow the steps. Having tables or something of varying height will help make it easier to assemble, along with a second person. Fired right up, make sure to hold the button down for 10 seconds, then release and turn to low for the first five minutes for burn in. ... show more

    • Massive heating range
From my point of view, East Oak makes the best pation heaters because now, I have about 6 of them in my restaurant's patio. First of all, it covers a big area because of having high BTUs . Second, the burner is very fuel efficiency and uses less gas in compare to other brands. Third, it happened more than 4 times that customers dropped it and automatically turned off and shuts down the gas, so they are number one in safety. Strongly recommended. ... show more
