I am writing this for anyone considering hearing aids and specifically if thinking about Eargo 8. They are really terrific, sound is as close to perfect of any hearing aids I have used in the past. They are also a significant upgrade from the Eargo 7 I had previously, with better charging contacts, no replacement micro cap to mess with and very comfortable new ear bud style. Plus they are more water resistant, which is great because the fit is so comfortable I often forget I have them in when taking a shower. I personally use the small buds and the entire unit disappears completely inside my canal, to the point my wife says she can never tell if I have them in or not. The app is so easy to use and although I generally keep mine in Normal mode, with the auto adjust off, which functions great for me, the other night in an extremely noisy restaurant I decided to try the Restaurant mode and immediately the background noise quieted and my tables conversation became much clearer. It saved the evening for me. If Auto adjust is ON they will switch on their own. But I can either tap my ear canal twice or use the app and they will switch modes. I love hearing the birds again, and my wife's rather quiet voice. I am no longer missing out on conversations or asking "What did you say". The battery lasts me from early morning till close to 11pm when I take them out without any warnings that they are getting low. And I just recharge over night and they are ready for another full day. There are less expensive options for sure, but from my experience getting the best earring aids I can is the most important thing. Plus the companies customer service support is the best I have experienced even before you get the product to checking on how you like them afterwards. They really CARE and it shows in many ways. Hope this review helps those that are first time users or those thinking of going from previous Eargo models to the new 8s. Hard to believe but they have made, great even greater!!

After trying 3 different types of hearing aids before finding Eargo8, I am completely pleased with the clarity of different sounds the hearing aids provide. They fit well in my ears, to the point that I forget that I am wearing them; easy to put in and take out. The compact case is great for storing hearing aids in your pocket while they are charging. The cleaning accessories that come with the hearing aids are very effective and easy to use. I would recommend these hearing aids to anyone who needs them. They are as good as the more expensive ones I have tried, if not better.

This is the most amazing product. These sounds amazing and they are invisible from most angles. You have to know what you are looking for to see them. The phone app gives the user a lot of control. I am hearing so well.. I never want to take these hearing aids off. I have a strange asymmetrical loss and I was not sure if they would work for me but they do. I’m so thankful for this product!!!!

I can't say enough good things about the Eargo 8. The clarity and simplicity are great. They're small but once you get the habit that gets easy. It's a pretty easy habit and compared to other hearing aids that I've had these are by far the best.

Switched from very expensive behind the ear to the very affordable in the ear Eargo 8. And I am amazed at the difference in sound quality, ability to focus on a conversation, and noise cancelation. I can now without straining maintain conversation in a restaurant, my wife is no longer repeating questions or topics. Of course I can no longer pretend selective hearing, but the value to my life brought by the Eargo 8 outweighs it. I never realized how stressed I was from the concentration effort to follow a conversation, in group or simply on a dinner date with my spouse. Family gatherings are so easy now. I cannot emphasize how great these devices are, and the trial period is very generous. I am not returning or exchanging these, I am sold! Long battery life, rechargeable and the charger small enough to fit in a pocket. Packaging is reminiscent of Apple, slick and efficient.

I bought these hearing aids after doing quite a lot of research. You can find a very helpful review on Wirecutter. I wanted to replace the Widex hearing aids I purchased several years ago from my audiologist when I had great health insurance. Those worked great but I lost one and could not afford to replace them. While these Eargos are quite pricey, I finally decided to buy them because I really wanted to try in ear style hearing aids. I also wear glasses and one thing I hated about my Widex pair was how I could hear every adjustment of my glasses. I’ve had the Eargo 8’s now for about three weeks and my brain is finally adjusting to them. At first I felt like I was at the bottom of a metal garbage can, but a helpful session with an Eargo audiologist over the phone was super helpful. She input my actual audiogram (I was unable to figure out how to do that from the app) and she assured me, as my own audiologist has several years ago, that my brain would adjust in a few weeks and feeling like Oscar the Grouch would diminish. That is finally happening. But it takes real commitment. I work from home and am often alone (partner works outside the home) and so putting in hearing aids to take meetings over Zoom seemed ridiculous since I can simply turn the volume up. But I have worn them every day for the past several weeks and now I look forward to putting them in in the morning. Charger works great - took it on a trip and the charge lasted - no need to bring any cords. The hearing aids themselves are a little tricky to fit properly but you get many ear tip size choices. The app is pretty minimalistic but there are helpful videos to show you how to properly clean them, etc. Overall I am very pleased and recommend these. If, like me, you’ve put them in your shopping cart several times and then pale when the price comes up, just click buy. Worth it! Last thing - recently got an outreach from Eargo over email with an offer for a free set of ear tips and an extra cleaning kit - no strings. Nice customer service.
