I love it. I really only use it for my room and my art room and don’t let anyone else use it anywhere else in the house which also helps me not mind the charging. I plug it back in after every use. The suction is actually pretty good on eco mode, I rarely use medium, and the super setting is amazing but you can only use it for 6-10 minutes on full charge. This vacuum rocks. It picks up everything, is light and agile to use and has great battery life with normal use. We bought extra filters and an extra battery which Istrongly recommend. Supper easy to empty and has a solid group of attachments. If you 3D print, there are schematics for even more attachments. Cat litter tears up the filters, so we have one filter we use exclusively for that purpose. If I have a complaint, is is that the high setting eats the battery quickly, but that is fully understandable. ... show more

Great Vacuum at a Great Value for Black Friday. The V9 Vacuum from Dyson was on sale for $270.00 discounted from $600.00. I own two V7 Dyson vacuums that work great. The V9 is so much better. It has battery monitor on the handle of the unit to let you know the life of the battery before it needs to be recharged. It is lighter and sleeker that my other Dysons. Easy to assemble and install the wall mount. The battery is supposed to have a 40 minute vacuum time when fully charged. I get 10 minutes out of each of my other Dyson units. For $600.00 its not such a great deal, for $270.00 its a steal. Get them while they last. ... show more

I purchased the Dyson V9 Motorcar Cordless Vacuum as a reconditioned like-new vacuum from the Amazon Warehouse. It is just a described. I gave it 4 stars because of Dyson, not because of Amazon. The condition of it was just as Amazon posted and it arrived in its box with all the parts and in great working condition. I got it at an exceptional price. Overall, it does what it says it will do-be a cordless vacuum with good suction power. The motorbar doesn't tangle and it goes from carpet to tile to linoleum to wood floors with ease.It is easy to use and lightweight. It has power to pick up everything which is great because I have two dogs. It holds a long charge. It's easy to hang on the charging dock between uses. We hung it in our attached garage. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the VERY small canister for collecting debris and hair and the fact that you have to basically get your hands into the canister to remove the clogged debris. It doesn't just fall out automatically. Yuck! So all that hypoallergenic hype just went out the window because when you go to empty the canister, you expose yourself to it all when you have to pull it out. And you have to empty it quite often because it fills up fast. You'd think with all the technology Dyson puts into their vacuums, they'd have a canister that was self emptying and would hold a bit more debris. It's overall a good cordless vacuum but very annoying when it comes to disposing of the stuff you've collected while vacuuming and if you have dogs as I do, that is usually a lot of dog hair.     • The work for years and hold a charge for quite awhile.
This is my second Dyson, they last for years and seem to run for quite awhile seeing as they are run on a battery. I love the way this new one handles hair, a huge improvement. Dyson batteries can be easily replaced. The last one we had since 2012 and just replaced the unit this year. We are both very impressed with Dyson. ... show more

    • Horrid Design: No Easy Dust Emptying Method
Are you INSANE, Dyson? WHAT the @#$% ???!!!? Due to my full Disabled status--largely related to nearly full LOSS of USE OF MY HANDS, I urgently purchased the new V9 at 65% off--thinking it was a great deal. No! This is a Fire Sale. If you are close to 'Add to Cart' WAIT & please be aware of a major design flaw of the V9. This nightmare DESIGN requires that you fully disassemble the vacuum in order to empty its collected dust. To empty each vacuum's collected filth--you must TAKE APART THE VACUUM! WHAT A NIGHTMARE. This is 4x more effort than my broken down V8 already repaired thrice and sent with last night week's garbage. So?!? This 65% mark down will need to go to 89% OFF to unload this horrifically designed DUD. Due to the inefficient design, grave shooting pain rips from my fingers through my wrists bilaterally in wrestling to empty the sticky and disagreeable bin. It does not shoot down with ease, but tgat must be AFTER you havd wrestled the buttons on the long neck to open-- utterly impossible for my spine with a 7" steel rod and 4 steel plates across left hip. I have to finnagle the unit sjdeways crouch forward while the base rolls away--pull it backwards to access the middle. THEN drop the lower unit--as it rolls further away--in order to wrsdtle sith the rounded Top. Then since the vacuum has no On Off switch, each time i grasp the top the sucking begins again. Twirling in my hands, it is impossible to perch, post, lean, or leverage this top piece tl force to open. Meanwhike dust and hair are leaking from the unit. Once i finally am twisted like a pretzel covered jn dirt, withered by pain, furious with the Fates, fed up as hell, the Dust Bow! Still won't open. After pushing, thudding, pressing, and banging on it with pliars ( no use of my hands, remember? Including wrists!!!) the Bin opens, showering my pants the kitchen floor, the trash bin, plus all surrounding areas with filth. Now. WHAT was the purpose in me vacuuming to BEGIN with?!??? SOLUTION DYSON: MAY I PLEASE HAVE A V8 MODEL sent to me for the immense emotional and physical strain caused by thix wicked waste of time and energy? CSS ... show more

I’ve been using the Dyson V9 Motorbar for a little while now, and it’s easily one of the best cordless vacuums I’ve owned. The suction is genuinely powerful on both hard floors and carpets — it picks up dust, crumbs, and pet hair without needing multiple passes. The Motorbar head does a great job adapting between surfaces, and the detangling feature is a lifesaver if you deal with long hair or pet fur. It actually prevents the brush from getting wrapped up, which means less maintenance and no more cutting strands out of the roller. Battery life is solid for everyday cleaning, and the cordless design makes it super easy to maneuver around furniture or take up and down stairs. It’s lightweight, easy to empty, and feels premium like you’d expect from Dyson.     • Not what I expected
It was light, small, and picked up dirt and dust, but I had to continuously stop and empty the dust bin because it is so small. I returned it and got a Dyson with a larger dust bin.
