    • Battery Life
Had this about 3 months and use once a week. Store in garage. Charger on a timer for night charging since garage is hot in day. About 2000 sq ft (with furniture etc) to vacuum. About 1/2 wood and tile floors. Uses about one blue light out of the three that show battery status. Carpet areas uses second light and goes into third. I am probably close to the end of its charge but I think I only ran out of power once. Has a high power setting. This will use up your battery very fast. Only had to use once or twice for a spill. You can not use it for regular vacuuming and it is not needed for that. Carpet can be a problem. Some of my carpets are very easy to go back and forth on. Others have a fabric that the suction is very very good on and can be hard to push the vacuum on. Should not be a problem. The vacuum head is very very easy to maneuver and get around furniture and under furniture. Last vacuum was and up right. This is much much better. Also had canister and this is much easier to use. The above assumes no use of the tools. I use these on a different day and could take more time than the vacuuming. ... show more

    • WORTHLESS JUNK and COSTLY
The battery can not hold a charge and the unit is cheaply made. This is NOT the Dyson of the past. I had a corded one that lasted 5 years heavy use before it began having trouble. This lasted me a few months and it does an awful job picking up dog hair. Lord it can't even pick up leaves! It clogs constantly too. Check out the reviews on the SV25 battery replacement, all junk that will run you $50 every time and maybe runs 6 months. There is an ongoing cost associated with owning this and it is, in no way, worth the money. I don't know what happened to Dyson, probably like everything else, once they build a good brand, they destroy it with cheap part makers in faraway factories. Maybe try a corded one but just not sure if the brand is even worth it anymore. ... show more

    • Good vacuum but sends dog into a rage
This is a nice vacuum, it's very lightweight and easy to use. Lots of attachments though there's nothing included in the packaging explaining them. Pros: works well; easy to carry around and use; does pull up lots of dirt and dog fur very well on the higher setting. Cons: battery doesn't last long, I can't clean the whole house on one charge; the collection canister is about the size of a mini-prep so it doesn't hold much; no way to lock the trigger on so it gets tiring to hold it; everything is plastic so it doesn't feel like super high quality; I have to keep going back and forth to collect and change out attachments since they're not onboard. More expensive than it should be. Biggest problem I have is this sends my dog into a killer rage. Full-on attack mode. Barking, crying, biting, trying to kill the vacuum and/or me. I need those knife-safe gloves and a chainmail suit to survive using this. ... show more

I have had a standard dyson plug in ball vac for 20 years and love it. When it came time to get a cordless i knew no other would do for me. It was an early Christmas present to myself and i just couldn’t wait to use it. Suction works great. Well worth getting the upholstery tool. Battery didn’t last as long as i had hoped and the device is pretty heavy so it forced me to take a break. But for occasional use or daily maintenance for my house full of dog hair it works great. Love it. Would definitely recommend. And if it’s anything like my other dyson it should last me a long time. ... show more
