I have to imagine that if you are looking at this unit, you might already be a Dyson household. We know that Dyson is known for their quality performance and their technology forward devices, and this floor mob is no different at all. To start with the good, the battery life on this mob is insane. Even when I had it on level two, the unit still told me I had a little over 60 minutes of runtime. This is a huge upgrade from the standard runtime that you would see on Dyson vacuums. The actual cleaning function was also very impressive. I tend to vacuum my home daily or every other day and I mop once or twice a month. I have two dogs, a toddler and a mechanic husband, so honestly, my floors could probably use a little bit more than what they get. The water that came out of this unit was disgusting and definitely surprised me on what I thought was an already mostly clean floor. The unit is not too heavy and I did not notice any sort of arm fatigue. If anything it kind of pulls itself along and takes some of the work off of the user. Of course it’s great that it’s cordless so you can take it anywhere and again the battery life gives you a long range of use. Now for the not so great: I felt like the water capacity did not live up to the battery capacity on this unit. Even though I still had 50 minutes of clean time, I had to dump the water tank twice, which essentially means taking the entire head apart. I also don’t love how cumbersome it is in the footprint that it takes up with. It’s charging dock. With Dyson vacuums in the past, you were able to hang just the head on the wall, but this is a floor based charging dock, and the unit itself does not break down any smaller than the full handle in order to charge. I think my biggest hangup on this mop is honestly the price point. I have an O cedar spin mop that I have been loyal to for years and cost me $40 as opposed to 400 and I don’t see that the markup is justified in the results. This mop is no faster than manually mopping, and even though it has a vacuum feature, it is not a replacement for a vacuum. You might be able to sway me a little bit more if it truly was a vacuum and mop in one, but the vacuum feature on this unit is more so to catch little crumbs that maybe you missed that would typically get pushed around with a standard mop. Overall, I’ll keep it in my rotation, but I’m not convinced that I will choose it over a standard mop in the future. ... show more
