This purchase was a major disappointment!! It was described as a self-propelled vacuum! it was the only self propelled vacuum I could find. When it didn't self-propel, I decided to return it only to find that my husband had already taken the box to the dumpster! I had no way to box it up for a return. I was thinking there must be a setting I was missing. I contacted Dyson customer service. I was told that Dyson does not have a self-propelled vacuum. I have a printed copy of the order describing it as a self-propelled vacuum. I'm a regular Amazon customer and this is the first time I felt a product was totally not as described! I cannot use the vacuum because I cannot physically push it. It does have great suction but that is a problem for me physically. ... show more

    • Clunky but smooth
Feels like butter to steer but it's clunky and a hassle to move around otherwise. Bought a refurbished unit last year and within 6 months the brushroll button stopped working. Im probably past the warranty period already unfortunately.

I’ve owned plenty of Dyson vacuums. 5 since they came out and I loved them and still due. They are superior to any other vacuum cleaner I’ve used. This one has me gritting my teeth. You pull the handle down to use and the floor bar is sticking up in the air and you have to use your foot to push it down repeatedly as you use it. You push the handle to lock it in place and it doesn’t lock. I wish I would have sent it back and got a different one because this one doesn’t work very well.
