There are multiple different functions and settings to fit your workout needs. We personally use it on 5 with the setting to track distance and it gives me the resistance that I need. It’s fairly large and VERY heavy, so make sure when you put it together, you are ready for it to basically stay where it is. The foot pedals glide smoothly, as do the arms. The media could not be loaded. I had bariatric surgery about a year ago and my doctor told me I needed to start exercising more regularly to keep my weight loss going. I didn’t want to buy a gym membership so I decided to get some equipment for my house instead. I bought this elliptical and am very happy with it. It did take both my husband and I to set it up. It has different modes you can set for different focuses like calories, time, distance. It strides smoothly and gives a great arm and leg workout without the high impact of running. It has a pulse monitor as well so I can make sure I am hitting my target heart rate. I have definitely noticed a difference in my muscle tone as well as endurance since starting to use this elliptical.

The dashboard screen is not that fancy but it has all essential information with heart rate monitoring sensors on the handles.installation was easy too, it came with all tools.
