Did not open the package but product looks good. The measurements given for rough opening are really the minimum needed to install it.! The drawing looks like it could fit to about 12 inch opening and usually rough opening has some space around. Not in this case.

I had to replace the water faucets behind my washer. My water faucet box was broken by a delivery person installing my new washer. The whole wall is covered with tile, and I didn’t want to mess up the wall. My garage is behind the washer wall so I cut a hole in my garage wall and replaced water connection box from the garage and used the door to cover the hole. Now if I need to change a valve I have access from the garage. While I was in the wall I also installed 2 1/4 turn shutoff valves in the wall so I don’t have to turn off the water to the house. ... show more

LOOK: The headline states this is for a 16" x 16" opening, which is the standard between wall stud measurement. ** The ACTUAL measure of the inside opening is 16 1/4" ** The text for the ad states, 'Fits Rough Wall Opening 16-3/8 x 16-3/8 Inch', which can mean a number of things (to me, would mean the flange is big enough to cover a 16 3/8" opening. I'm going to have to do some trimming of 2x4's, which I hadn't expected. Otherwise, the steel door & frame are of good weight & seem well-built. ... show more
