These rods are not heavy or thick but rather slim line, which is what I wanted. They feel sturdy and are of good quality. I needed the full width spanned over our back door and 2 windows. It seemed a bit precarious when extending the 3 rods to their full length but proved sturdy enough once they were hung on their brackets. Next time I might determine the center point of the middle rod before sliding it in to make it easier to space them evenly rather than guessing. My drapes are a light linen and really only used decoratively but I think these rods would hold up a heavier panel adequately enough, even if extended to the full 12 feet, if you hang them correctly and screw them into place well. We did it properly; used a leveling instrument, measured well and screwed them in with a power driver. My tall husband and handy brother were on hand to help out so it went easily. I love the open ball finials and the final look! Plan to buy again for my bedroom.

Reallly liked how easy it was to put together. It looks very nice and definitely looks more expensive than I thought it would. Some screws were abnormal but since it came with extra screws there was no probelm. Pack again kept the poles from touching which resulted in no scrapes at all. Definitely recommend
