Its by far the nicest hose I've ever owned, and ive had what I thought were good rubber hoses. We use them all day long and drag them all over the place for work and I'll tell ya, this is a good product. The darn thing wants to roll itself in your hand if it starts to kink! The fittings are rugged and the color is a welcome change from drab old red or black. It is heavy duty but not too heavy, and its flexible. We'll see how it holds up to horseshoes ... show more

Does it kink? Does it not kink??? Reviews are all over the place. My take on it in two words; IT KINKS. Nice hose otherwise. I think the confusion comes because it has a quality feel, and is relatively lightweight. It’s almost floppy. Which makes it seem like it’s easier to handle pulling through delicate perennial plants etc. and in fact it is easier to handle then the normal stiff hose. But it absolutely does kink more than most hoses. On the other hand, the kinks don’t seem to make a permanent fold in the hose that will want to kink again and again later in the same spot. I have a big garden and use a lot of hoses, and I would have to say even though this hose has its good points I would not buy one again due to the kinking. If you are a person without a lot of strength who needs to move the hose through lots of obstacles and easily broken plants you might like this hose. But you will spend a lot of time going back and forth taking the kinks out. ... show more

I bought a blue Dramm hose from Gardeners Supply when they first offered them because I liked the color. The hose was used 13 years year-round in Texas. I bought a second Dramm in yellow for a different area of the yard. We lost the first blue one in the 2023 ice storm when a tree fell on the spigot...but it was as bright blue as the day we bought it. Was delighted to see amazon sold them. As other reviewers have noticed, the hose does kink easily, and no matter how careful I was when rolling it up, it always got tangled up when I started to use it. To eliminate frustration, I unroll the whole hose before I start to use it. Problem solved.
