Description

The Dr. Infrared Heater greenhouse heater is designed to tender precious plants. We understand space is very important in smaller greenhouses, therefore, our heater will take zero floor space. The big difference between conventional greenhouse heaters is efficiency. Conventional fan force heater will circulate and heat up the whole room with the majority of the heat lost through walls, floor, and ceiling. The infrared greenhouse heater will apply warmth directly to the plants with very minimal heat lost through the walls. Effectively, infrared heaters are more efficient at applying heat to plants. Our greenhouse heater can be mounted on the wall, or ceiling, or even hang down from the ceiling with the provided chains and accessories. Dr. Heater is designed with a plug-and-play thermal cord that will sense the temperature close to the plant and feedback to the heater for auto temperature control. The heater can be operated in Smart mode - auto-regulate the temperature, or manual mode - with full control by the user. All Dr. Heater products are designed in the USA and are listed by nationally recognized safety laboratories such as UL and ETL.

I thought knowing the exact temperature would be nice but after setting it all up inside my outdoor dog kennel, I found that I really did not need to know what exact temperature it was but only whether it was warm enough for my dog. I do not think you need this model for outdoor mounting with wind etc. But it could be very useful for indoor use, if you needed to keep a room in your house or office at a certain temperature. And, of course very useful for greenhouses with delicate plants. Easy to set up, gives off good heat. Thermometer works well but outdoors with wind, and sun etc, it is very difficult to get an accurate reading which will change minute by minute depending on conditions. ... show more

I got 2 of these to keep my garage gym comfortable during the midwest winters. They are phenomenal for the job. Installation was super-easy. I had both of them up and running in under an hour. While the heater with thermostat holds temperature well, if the power gets interrupted the unit comes back "on" in standby mode. All settings are lost, and the manufacturer confirmed this: "Unfortunately this heater does not have a memory built in so the unit is unable to save the previous setting. If the power goes off you will have to turn on the heater manually and set the desired temperature." Great, I have to run out to the greenhouse in freezing weather to reset the heater? Their photo with so many heaters lined up... each one needs to be completely reset after power interruption. Terrible concept for a product advertised for greenhouses! ... show more
