The Home Assistant Green appliance does not have USB 3.0 ports. These ports interfere with Z-Wave devices. If you happen to have a host with only USB 2.0 ports, feel free to directly connect this to it without worrying about interference from USB 3.0 ports. It works great with Home Assistant via Z-Wave JS UI. Paired with my first and only Z-Wave devices, a Yale Assurance Lock 2 very easily.

This device did not work on home assistant as it advertises. I assumed it could be the configuration of Home Assistant so I researched the issue online and eventually asked for help in forums. I was told Home Seerer support should be able to help since Home Assistant isn't even seeing the device at the platform level. So I emailed Home Seerer support to clarify what needs to be done, and the person who replied told me he's unfamiliar with the platform and had zero input for me. He advised for me to return it. Done and done.

Had a Aeotec Z-stick previously, and could not for the life of me get a healthy network: first hop needed to be line-of-sight, smartstart inclusion never worked, some devices would randomly drop out. After months of thinking it was something I did, I tried swapping controllers to this one, and all those problems went away!! Has no issues with NVM backup (but have not tried restore). Might require a USB extension to keep interference from the computer low (common for these sticks). Very happy overall

Work's out of the box on Linux, has little to no issues networking in a rather noisy environment, I've not noticed any reliability issues, and works fine with most smart home solutions.
