I ordered two of these to beef up our front and rear door security when away on vacation and for any future SHTF event. They were very easy to install and were versatile enough to fit perfectly for two styles of doors on hardwood floors. They appear to be very well made, solid and attractive. I experienced none of the oddball complaints about clearance or slippage issues. A little pricey, but overall they’re a good value for the money.

Works well when it works. My door is about 1” off the ground, over tile. I have to position this just right and still fully extend/strew down the leg to keep it in place. It also takes me two or three tries before I get it just right (if the angle is even a fraction off, I can tug it straight out of the door with one pull). Once it is in place, though, it’s not going anywhere. Gives me peace of mind when I sleep. A note, too, that the directions that came with it were for the portable version, not this one—so the reference to an extender in the directions, for example, was confusing at first.

Works exactly as described. When placed directly below the door knob and screwed down properly — the door did not budge open when force was applied. I have used the “stick” type door stop but it stopped working in less than 2 months after the “foot pad” i.e. the part in touch with the floor (mine was vinyl tile) wore out.

installed this product using the supplied boot extensions on two different doors. tested by jiggling door vigorously. in all cases, the back foot slipped and gave way within seconds. consulted manual and videos to ensure with certainty the install was done correctly. Even had my wife watch video and verify I installed correctly (because that's when you really know if you did it incorrectly). We could not get this product to secure the door, and thus have returned it. I'm sure in situations where a floor is not sealed, the back foot can get more friction and would be more useful. However, because this product did not function at all on our floor and im sure has been tested on sealed hardwoods with similar results, I'm leaving one star as it was a waste of time and resources getting it.

No need for any photo or fancy movie to review these. These things work, they are very easy to install and very difficult, if ever, to overcome; door hardly moves while in use. I struggle to admit that anything made in China fancies me, but I am going to purchase again another set for my daughter who is an elementary teacher. Yes, that thing will definitely be handy if needs be, the "lockdown" name is quite appropriate. I do not know the material but it is strong enough to give enough minutes to be "prepared" inside a house or apartment, and also to dissuade an 'intruder' from spending interest, time and effort to overcome its 'protection'. Watch the other reviews for how to use it if you need. The instruction booklet included is written for 'supervision' which I do not have, but I can use my own logic and that was enough to learn how to operate the main item, for the extra rubber gadgets go online. I am 100% satisfied and I do not care for the price (you receive two anyway) or other brands, I will purchase a second pair right now (I received them today). Whether you call 911 or 811 these things will give you precious time on inside doors too!

I bought one for the front door. I tried to open the door with the door jam in place and it wouldn’t budge. I realize nothing is fool proof, but this gadget helps. By the time someone would get through the door I would have had time to call 911 or pull my defense weapon. I also bought one for the back door.

Can't be applied quickly, so it's not safe for emergencies. There is a specified minimum door gap in the description, but it also doesn't work in a gap of more than half an inch. In my experience, it only works reliably when used with a second barricade device. It definitely can provide increased security, but not in an imminent emergency and not as the only doorstop device used.
