I have been wanting a Mary statue for my yard for a long time. Just couldn't find the right one. Was a little skeptical in buying this one, but took a chance and was glad I did. The statue is a nice size and very light weight so it was easy to move around. Just needed to add sand to the base to weight it down. There is a plug in the bottom that is difficult to remove, but does come out using something to pry it up. Close up, you can tell it is plastic, but in the garden, it is absolutely beautiful. My wife & I are very happy with this. The facial expression and the entire statue looks great. We have just had it a few days. We can't comment on how well it holds up where we have it outdoors. Perfect landscape feature for the yard. Great value and look. The best feature is made for the outdoors of resin and has a hollow body to fill with some river rock to hold it down. Awesome product arrive early and was easy to pick up with one hand. Looks pretty much like real stone. Unless you get super close to it. Enough to where you can touch it with your hands. ✋️ 👐 It didn't have any seams ether that I could see. It looks very durable and I think it will make it through the winters in Northern Pennsylvania. It is (Spring April 2024) I want to let people know that they have to fill the bottom of the statue up with sand. If placed outside Also It is not real Stone. So if that is something that is a deal breaker for some of you. This might not be for you. ... show more

I believe many reviewers gave this low marks based on first impression. My first reaction was the same. But when I tried it out and re-read the product information on the Amazon description I changed my mind. It is extremely light weight - but the information on Amazon tells you to fill the pedestal with sand or gravel. There is a pop on disc to open the pedestal to add the sand/gravel. I used sand, put it in about a third of the way up and it did the trick - now it has heft and feels solid. The seams of the resin do look noticeable and messy - but where I needed to use it, the seams are not visible and just blend into the overall look. So, this is perfect! It looks like stone from far away. (It isn’t stone) Up close, it’s shiny plastic. She can be painted/customized any way you want or left alone but any way you display her she’s stunning! It’s a tall statue, it isn’t heavy, so you may need to weigh it down with something depending on where you live, but so far it’s stayed in place just fine for me. I have not had it long enough to see how well it stands up to Midwest winters but will update IF it doesn’t last through. If you are familiar with statues of the Blessed Mother, you are familiar with their price tags. We just moved and have a big piece of land and I wanted a big piece to both show my adoration for the Mother and to stand out on the land. This statue delivers both! I can’t believe the price of this! I plan on buying another one and painting it to put at the foot of my large crucifix in my home. And I fully intend on getting this as gifts for everyone I know who loves Our Lady and wants a beautiful garden statue. If you’re on the fence, you shouldn’t be.
