Squared form factor makes it look less old fashioned more “tech-y”,large amount of coffee, easy to program, easy to fill/empty filter, easy to fill & attach water reservoir (only have to lift it less than 1” to attach). A PERFECT NO DRIP LID on the pot. Great filter-very little “crud” on bottom when pouring last cup. Long “warming” time-up to 4 hours. Three brew strengths. Only cons are: reservoir on back, BUT keeping the unit on a small tray allows me to slide the unit out and access the reservoir very easily. DO NOT use the guides on the filter for the amt of coffee to use. You’ll be up for a week! Love the 14cup size but a full pot is kind of heavy to lift. I've had this product for 7 months now. It makes great coffee and plenty of it. However, recently the water reservoir has begun to leak at the fitting where it attaches to the machine. When you remove it to fill it with water this fitting leaks. It is not replaceable. You can not buy a replacement for it. The only replacement parts available are the coffee pot and the reusable filter. I had called the manufacturer and this is what I was told. You can simply use the coffee pot to refill the water, and that is what we're doing now. ... show more

This coffee pot is great. It makes 14 cups of coffee. The detachable tank makes it easy to fill water. The only caution I would make is to make sure to check the pot, that it’s empty, before you start your coffee. Or it will run over. The light inside the coffee compartment is nice also.

I was expecting a quality product but got a coffeemaker that wouldn’t work unless the clock was set. I read the manual thoroughly and placed it beside the maker and never could get the clock set to make it work, There’s no clear way to know if it’s on or off as the button is just an i…..what’s that mean? The big water container is on the back so must drag it away from the backsplash and pull it loose. The carafe has this strange lid that causes water to splash onto the floor from my frige trying to fill the tank. What a horrible way to start the day! I was hesitant to write the review after just one week of use, but it’s been consistently producing great coffee each morning and I’m thrilled I bought it! The touch screen is very easy to use, there are 4 choices of brew to choose from, though we’ve only tried bold and robust so far. I love the alarm and keep warm features. You can set it to keep the pot warm for up to 4 hours and at 3 different settings: low medium or high (medium keeps it plenty warm). It’s a nice looking coffee maker and the best part for me is that it makes the exact amount of water poured in the reservoir (love that it is separate from machine for easy cleaning). Other coffee makers I’ve tried ended up with sometimes 1-2 cups less than what water was input. The lighted filter makes it easy to see how much coffee is in the filter (helps if you lose track of counting like I do). It was very important I have a 14 cup coffee maker and in full transparency I have only made between 8-10 cups, but I have faith, based on my experience this week, that it will continue making strong, hot coffee no matter the amount. ... show more

Had a Hamilton Beach coffee maker for several years, it made the best coffee......until it didn't!! Had some parameters (ie. conical filter, selective brewing, etc...) when I went looking for a replacement, this one met and exceeded my parameters!! Brews an excellent pot of coffee in short order, it being a 14 cup maker is icing on the cake!!! I'm impressed with this brew station and hope it stands up as long as the last one did!! ... show more

The design is slim but you still have to pull the whole machine out to put the water & coffee grounds in it. If the water reservoir came off of the side & the basket actually pushed open instead of lifting the lid, it would be a much better coffee maker. Also the buttons are very sensitive... Nothing fits on the counter anymore & you always have to move things around to use them. Anything that lifts open is not worth buying anymore. ... show more

It works, but would be much easier if everything opened to the side and not the top. It’s kind of heavy for me to lift the water container up so high to slide into the grooves and it’s hard to get the container IN the grooves. Also, I continually need to pull the pot to the edge of the counter. Kinda defeats the purpose of a pot that fits under the counter. Would be easier for the brew pot to dry after use if it would swing to the side; it won’t open if it’s under the counter. I would buy another one right away if it had the features. I’ll take this one to the beach house and leave it there and go back to my old pot. Nothing wrong with my old pot, was just looking for a better one. This one is “almost” that pot.
