Features

  • WIDER TEMPERATURE SETTINGSCompared to the temperature control knob at the top of the dog house heater, our knob designed on the side will be more convenient for you to adjust the temperature. The temperature adjustment range of 32F-122F(0C-50C) can be adjusted freely according to your needs, wider temperature range than most dog heaters on the market. Must have for outdoor dog house!
  • MORE GENTLE AND COMFORTABLE HEATINGThis heater uses convection heating to provide your pet with a mild, even, comfortable temperature. The heating element sucks in cold air and then heats it up. The heated air rises to the ceiling, cools and then drops so that the process can be repeated, heated more evenly than with radiated heat, keep your pets more warm and cozy on cold nights!
  • NO NOISE, SOUNDLESS WARMTHOur dog heater for outside dog house uses a convection heating method, unlike the radiant heater with fan, the operation will be more quiet, almost silent, suitable for pets that are sensitive to noise, can provide a more comfortable, warm resting environment for your pets.

  • Pleasantly surprised
Very rare I give a 5 star review however, this little unit is very effective and checks all the boxes for safety, easy of install and comfort. I applied this heater to a wood dog house with a door curtain. I set the adjustment a tad bit above the lowest setting. It maintains 68* in 50 degree ambient outdoor air. The house is 3x4x4. It houses a miniature breed canine. Mounted farthest away from door mid height. Pooch loves it. ... show more

  • Works great and the unit doesn't get excessively hot at my 50-60 degree desired range.
Hung this by two short chains in an Xlarge Dogloo. I have a thermometer in there so I can dial it in to a 50-60 degree range for my beagle mix. I don't want it too hot in there but warm enough for a good sleeping temp for him. Right now it is 30 degrees outside and 59 in the dog house. It was 9 degrees out the other night and it still stayed within the target range. I do have the outside of the dogloo insulated so this helps the heater keep a consistent temp. I'd buy it again for sure as it was only about $80. ... show more

  • Labrador tested and approved.
I installed this in a dog house for a stray Lab that took up residence with us. She is not interested in living inside and even if she was my male Standard Poodle would not tolerate her. We have a heated kennel, no longer occupied, with a doggy door she could stay in, but she does not like being in there either. Thus the dog house. I installed it on the rear upper half of the dog house using two screws matched up to the hanger slots in the heater. It was necessary to cut a notch in the lower half of the dog house to allow the cord to go out the back and the top half to sit properly on the bottom section. One thing that does leave me a bit frustrated is a non graduated thermostat. It requires adjustment by trial and error to get the setting correct. This is somewhat difficult as the thermostat control has a key lock door that is difficult to access if you are on the ground reaching into the dog house. It is either that or popping the top back off and making adjustment. I have this one set approximately in the 60 degree range where the old girl is comfortable and it is not so warm that she does not want to stay in the dog house. She was somewhat reluctant to go inside at first, but when she realized it was warm and comfortable she took up residence. This was a very worthwhile purchase and appears to be a high quality product. It is lab tested and approved. ... show more

  • Gets hot
I was trying out this heater before installing it outside. It is really easy to set up. I like the fact the temperature setting knob can be locked so it doesn't get moved. It seems easy enough to install and it heated up very quickly. It seemed like it would be really warm. My biggest concern is that the back side of the heater was very hot - too hot to touch without almost burning yourself. I did not let it heat up to the highest temperature. I asked my husband if he thought it was too hot and he said definitely. The front side was touchable, pretty warm but not a problem. The front does not cause me concern. If both sides were this temperature, I wouldn't be afraid of burns. However, the back side was so hot, I would be afraid to mount it to a wooden wall. I may experiment with it outside - maybe it doesn't get that hot with the outside temperature cold? When I try it out I will report back. ... show more

  • Wonderful! The dog house stays at a comfortable, constant tempurature.
This heater works perfectly! I've had it in our dog house for a little bit now. Outside temperatures have fluctuated between 35 and 65 degrees F, but the dog house maintains a comfortable range of about 59-61 degrees F. I have a sensor in the dog house that tells me the temperature and humidity. Our dog house is a bit large, measuring 60" long x 42" wide x 32" tall (interior dimensions). I have the heater centered on one of the 42" walls (end) and the dog door is near the opposite end, about 12" from that end. I love that this heater is adjustable and automatic. I have it set pretty low because I found out it gets a bit too toasty in there when it's turned up. It only turns on when it needs to. That's good for electricity savings. I've gone in and felt the face of the unit when it has been on, and it doesn't get too hot to touch. It's just comfortably warm. I believe the trick to this one is to leave it plugged in and on so that it can constantly maintain the temperature without large fluctuations. In the long run, this let's it work more efficiently without having to work too hard. I highly recommend this heater. ... show more

  • Never warmed up the space.
Put in my back shed for a cat shelter. Small space 5x9ft. I even have the silver insulation on the walls. It never produced heat. You could only feel the heat with your hand next to the heater. Never warmed up the space as I live NJ.
