It's a dream for those who are worried about food poisoning; and making sure that their meals are cooked safely for their family. This is by far the best thermometer that I've ever purchased. I've purchased a lot because I am a little bit paranoid of food poisoning. Love this, it works fast,and is extremely accurate...... open it and it comes on,stick it in your meat,fish or pool read it then close it to turn off.....nice and simple hopefully this is helpful too someone :)

    • Accurate after calibrating
You have to follow the calibrating instructions before using! The gauge is not “instant “ and does take a minute to give an accurate reading. It is faster than a non digital thermometer . It also must be inserted properly and tested in several areas to get a true reading.
