Fits right on my 60v Flexvolt weedeater from Dewalt. Pretty much looks like an oddly shaped metal disc. Seems very sturdy and quality built. Anything bigger than 1 inch in diameter you will have trouble with. And if you DO decide to try it, the whole attachment will sometimes twist. This hasn't damaged my weedeater YET, but it's quite annoying having to stop what you're doing, put the thing down, loosen the attachment point, and fix the orientation of the Brush Cutter Attachment. Also, if you hit something too big, it will stop the entire weedeater in it's tracks. Mine starts right back up though. More of like a safety feature I suppose However, I did sharpen it with an angle grinder to a point (kind of like lawn mower blades) and it definitely improves this problem. Still wouldn't recommend crashing into anything over 1 inch. The only other complaint I have is that it's kinda small. I suppose if you're using it for specific types of brush like stickers and small saplings it works great! But if you have tall grass among other things, due to it's small size, it will take awhile to clear it. Kind of like mowing your entire yard with a weedeater, takes forever but it will get the job done! ... show more

I've had other brush cutter attachments but this is outstanding due to the shape that ensures you only engage what you want to cut and reduces binding due to excess material getting picked up by the blade and being warped around the drive shaft. This almost never happens with the DeWalt attachment.

It's so much easier and quicker to swap the lower leg of the trimmer than to break out a wrench and swap cutting tools. I installed a Husqvarna blade and removed the guard (at my own risk) because it works so much better than the blade that comes with this tool. The added bonus is the Husqvarna blade will also cut grass if you happen to run out of trimmer line. Not as well but in a pinch you can finish a job rather than take the time to find more line if you're close to being done. ... show more
