    • Great value, better than OEM
It's a plastic tank that holds coolant. That said, how did GM manage to mess this up with their awful OEM tank? I heard it said from one YouTube mechanic that in all the hundred of models/makes of cars he's worked on, he had NEVER seen a make/model with a clearly deficient coolant tank that needed guaranteed replacement at some point in it's life...GM said "hold my beer" and produced Cruze, Encore, Sonic etc with the worst coolant tank known to man. Just shameful. That said, Dorman took a plastic tank and made it better. It wasn't rocket science, it just took someone with enough brains to say "wow, the original part is awful and we should probably improve that". Somehow, Dorman did it even cheaper than OEM. I'm not sure if that's bigger praise for Dorman, or bigger condemnation on GM... Either way, buy this and forget about your coolant tank forever, like every other car owner has. ... show more
