I found the non-stick part of this to be uniquely different than other nonstick pans. After examining the pan, it seems that the claim of nonstick is more so from the design of the interior: It has the polygonal shapes all risen to leave tons of lower level grooves which should in theory help keep food from sticking with the different elevations. I found that it worked generally well for most foods but of course it isn't perfect. The quality of both the interior and exterior was very good, being heavy stainless steel. Some of them also come with clear glass lids and they seem to be oven and dishwasher safe, which is a plus. ... show more

I own a Hexclad skillet and would say that these are very comparable in both their performance and composition. They came packaged nicely in a medium sized box. No damage to either of the three pans that I could see. No dings, scrapes, or imperfections. They’re heavier than the cheaper pans made of standard non-stick materials, so this is something to consider if you have any upper body weakness or limitations when it comes to handling a little bit of weight. As the description states, you can treat these like basically a hybrid stainless steel and nonstick pan. The best of both worlds really. They heat quickly, cook evenly, and I didn’t feel the need to add a ton of fat to the skillet to prevent sticking, which is very important to me because I try to be conscious of how many calories I’m adding to my food. It passed the test for my Sunday morning eggs and cooked them perfectly. Just added a little butter. It was a smooth process from start to finish, no sticking. The skillet I used for that basically wiped clean. I also like the idea that they’re oven safe up to 500 degrees, even though I don’t finish cooking a lot of skillet foods in the oven. It’s still good to have that feature in at least a few skillets in the kitchen. Now as for the price tag, only time will tell if they’re worth it. I mean, if you spend a lot of time in the kitchen, it behooves you to invest in well made cookware, knives, etc. For now, these get a solid 5 as their performance is up to par with the steep price tag, but I will update with any issues going forward. ... show more

This product presents itself as Hexclad, at a price point slightly under Hexclad, to entice you. The actual brand name 'DeLuxe' has very poor reviews if you Google it. Material is 18/10 stainless. Item weight is noticablly different than Hexclad. Avoid this and just get the real thing.

The wife and I are very pleased with the DELUXE 5-Piece HYBRID NONSTICK FRY PAN SET. The 3 sizes, 8-, 10-, and 13-inches, will accommodate any type of meal needs. The unique raised surfaces allow for good heat distribution, easy cleaning, and they're scratch-resistant. We have one quibble: there are only 2 glass lids. That was a bit of a disappointment, but we have another set of stainless steel pots that are similar in size, and we will borrow one of those glass tops. The handles are stay-cool, which means no more hot pads when using these. We have only used a cast iron frying pan in the oven, but not anymore. All 3 frying pans are oven safe. It is nice to have the right pots, etc when cooking a meal for the family. These will give us more options. But let’s face it, after every good meal comes clean-up time - which is not our favorite activity! However, this set is easy. You simply add some hot water and a little dishwasher soap, then using a soft kitchen cloth the clean-up is done in no time. They can also be cleaned in a dishwasher. A big advantage for this set is that they have a LIFETIME warranty from defects. Time will tell if that will even be necessary. So, let the cooking begin! ... show more

Just like all the other pans that are advertised as nonstick, these are not! I tested it out with an egg of course, the ultimate nonstick test. I did not spray anything on the pan the first time, and of course it stuck to the pan. I was able to fill it without breaking the yolk, so that is better than some. I sprayed it and tried it again and of course it worked great. They do look really nice and look to be built well and good quality. The handle did get hot, so be careful. Easy to clean. ... show more
