I am an IT Director for a hospital in Texas. Purchasing PC equipment and knowing whether it's good or not is what a lot of my occupation requires. That being said, I would stay as far away from this drive as I could. I took a chance on it because Dato ram is decent. You can't really get any accurate info on this ssd on the net, so I knew the chanbce I was taking but I knew I could return it also if I didn't like it. The ssd is sharp looking I must say and it's fast, but that means absolutely nothing if it is cheaply made. manufacturers of ten change the components of their products to cheap ones to cut costs and man this is the cheapest, sorriest ssd I think I've ever seen. The pcb is as thin as paper and light as a feather. The only thing that gives it any strength is the heatsink. I pulled the heatsink back to check the controller and nand and it has an older Innogrit controller. Now I'm a big Innogrit 5236 fan. After they fixed it's original issues with firmware updates it has turned out to be a very good gen 4 controller. On par with the Phison E18 controller. But this controller one of the first innogrits that are dramless to come out if I'm not mistaken and I couldn't figure out who made the nand. You would think Micron since Dato is a Micron brand. However these nand flash chips are very thin and must be older nand and I wouldn't doubt they aren't QLC. Not that QLC is all that bad but for the price of this drive, I was shocked. Needless to say, it went back pretty quickly for a full refund. I would stay away from this one! ... show more
