For a long time I avoided buying the DASH Tasti-Crisp with digital controls because the last thing I need is another kitchen "gadget" that gets shoved to the back of a cabinet. But I've owned this air fryer for a couple of weeks and rarely use the oven anymore. The controls are simple and it is so quiet that I can barely hear it. The small size makes it useful for only one or two people. The DASH is ideal for warming up frozen french fries, chicken tenders, veggies, salmon and whatnot, but I was surprised that it does a great job on steaks up to 16 ounces. The kitchen stays cool since the tiny DASH uses only 1000 watts, about the same as a toaster, microwave or coffee maker. Cleanup is simple since the interior plate and bin are both dishwasher safe, but using the disposable sheets of 6.4X6.4 parchment paper with holes makes it even quicker. Cooking times are about 1/2-2/3rds as long as a traditional oven. While there is no "warmup" button, you can program one of three buttons for three minutes to preheat the DASH. Oddly, since it has a digital readout, there is no clock readout like you see on other devices. Shrug. But the touch sensitive time and temperature controls are easy and accurate. I've been pleased with the DASH Tasti-Crisp and, if you are single or a couple without kids, this device might be just the ticket for your kitchen. Five stars. ... show more

Everything about this cooker is easy. What I love the most is how simple it is to clean up. Everything I’ve cooked has come out extremely good except for steak. Steak definitely is going to be a challenge to get crisp on the outside. Most everything I’ve made the first time has come out extremely good. This was a great surprise for the cost. The only thing I regret is not getting a bigger one which will probably be the next purchase. The only difficult thing for this cooker were the controls, they were a little more difficult to get used to but when you get used to them they’re pretty easy also. In general, I waited too long to get this. I truly regret it because the ease of use and easy clean up are really great. I absolutely LOVE this Air fryer. I use it almost EVERYDAY. Sometimes multiple times a day. It has changed my life. It makes eating healthy fun, and a lot easier. I don't have to cook with a lot of oil. It also cooks fast. No long waiting. I bought a similar Air fryer, that l hated. But this one here is the bomb. It cooks enough food for about 1- 2 people. I love how it cooks small portions and reheats pizza and chicken. The setting of time and temperature are a little cumbersome. you have to count the temp down from 300, in 10 degree increments and count down the minutes from 20, by 1 (not cool when you only want 5 min).
