Decided to get an air fryer to make my own stuff and eat out less, and this was on sale. Wasn't enthusiastic about the color, but it's not too hideous. Used it to make my own potato wedges, fries, chicken wings (from frozen), and heated up frozen fish sticks. So far, they worked great. Potato wedges and fries needs almost no prep. Just cut them up into wedges or slices not too big, toss them into the basket and I set them to cook at 350 for 8 minutes. Works every time. May need to turn them over and add another 4 minutes if your wedges are pretty thick. Add any sort of powder flavor you want. I've tried mixed spice, curry powder, even the flavor packets from ramen noodles. The frozen fish sticks came out crispy like fresh fries with 12 minutes at 400. They are so crispy I was thinking about dialing back the temp a little. Don't overlap the fish sticks, leave a little room around each one. The wings require a little more prep. Add some cooking spray to the inside, and line up the wings along the sides and basically make sure nothng touches. Do 8 minutes @ 400, take them out, turn them a bit, then another 5 minutes or so @ 350. The skin will be crispy and most of the fat would have dripped to the bottom. Cleanup is pretty easy: pull the cup out, remove the inner liner, dump out the bits, and wipe it down. The cup probably has a lot of fat dripping in it and requires a little dish detergent, but that's about it. Turn it on for a minute or two and the insides will be dry for another use. All in all, love the little thing. It doesn't have fancy presets or digital controls, but don't really need it. ... show more

I've been using this air fryer for about a month now of daily use. I love the size. It's perfect for 2 people. Very easy to clean, just take the basket out of the bottom part and wipe clean then snap it back together. It's very easy to use. It works best when there's not too much in the basket, one or two layers with a lot of room for the air to circulate. If you overfill it then it will cook but it won't get crunchy. The outside doesn't get hot and it's never set off the fire alarm like I've heard some other models do. Things cook very quickly too. I love it. ... show more

All kids like French fries, but making fries with cooking oil is messy and greasy. Now the DASH Air Fryer come to the rescue! It is very easy to use. I have used it to make French fries several times. It takes longer than the time said in the manual. The fries are not as crisp as bought in fast food restaurants. Maybe I did not buy the right potatoes or did not cut them well. But my daughter still likes the fries. I have also used to fry chicken wings one. It works out very well. I got the 3 quart (for two people) thinking it would be smallish like a big cookie jar, but no, it’s still huge on the countertop. But no regrets; it’s earned the real estate! Everyone told me I “needed” an air fryer and I refused. I wish I’d listened sooner. Crispy fries, chicken, toasted ravioli, potato skins…all in 10 min or under instead of waiting 35 min via oven. And the best: reheating take out fries that get cold on the trip home. No more soggy microwaved fries! Just pop them in the fryer for three minutes and they’re sizzling and crisp. The only downside to this model (and maybe they’re all like this) is that if you preheat, the basket is super hot when you take it out to put your food in, so you can’t just set it down, you need a trivet or something. It’s a bit inconvenient. But I paid under $40 on sale, so I’m not really complaining. Would recommend! ... show more

My son and I love our new air fryer. He has been begging for one since he wants me to make fried chicken but the conventional frying method is so messy and unhealthy. The air fryer solves both problems. It is super easy to operate and extremely easy to clean (which I especially love). The fryer compartment and drawer are easily removed and can be washed in the dishwasher which is fantastic. So far my son made bbq chicken wings and buttermilk fried chicken. Both were crispy on the outside and the inside was juicy, delicious, and cooked thoroughly. My son used recipes he found online, but the fryer also comes with a recipe book with great ideas for wings, burgers, even meatballs. I can’t wait to try some of those recipes. We highly recommend this air fryer! I’m more than happy to let my teens cook and eat “fried” foods! ... show more
